Why do Souls players have trouble adapting to more complex combat systems?
Why do Souls players have trouble adapting to more complex combat systems?
lol
Soulsniggers will never be stylish
Both of these series are easy casual shit.
Not even the same genre
DMC has garbage combat, you literally just juggle people in the air while all the other enemies stand around doing nothing.
Lol this game was so fucking bad. Should have had one character, 50% fewer cutscenes, and levels that weren't just grey corridors.
>doing nothing
>aerial enemies
>enemies with jump attack
>projectiles
Retard sama....
>gamefaqs immigration thread #74828769
go back
Why do people always keep trying to force rivalries between 2 different games?
Hi Quentin, I'm NeithOf
Sekiro shits all over every DMC game.
>gozillion moves
>3 enemy types: grey goo, spikey grey goo and flying gray good
>3 environments: grey goo, spikey grey goo and London
Great tech demo, now make a game around it
everyone is so insecure and jealous of elden ring it's crazy
By having shit enemy variety and boring combat with half of it being shit (prosthetics + combat arts)?
The biggest issue with DMC is that most enemies don't really have anything resembling anti-air. When you're in the air, the majority of enemies legit just can't do shit to you.
I fucked SBK mom while playing KH2FR
AMA
i'm good at doom eternal
>any criticism or negative comparison = envy
You sound like a teenager.
I adapted to MGRR effortlessly, but DMC I don't really understand. I've got SSS a couple times, but I don't really understand how I did it.
>why aren't you good at games you don't play???
don't care, nigger.
ultra faggots with no life who get off on arguing over stupid shit
You just have to rotate moves.
>DMC V is more complex
Nice one
not him but dmc5 has shit enemy variety too
Same faggot,
How many times do we need to see your thread spam all week? over and over.
Are you going to pretend it doesn't? lol
Oh no a heckin elden ringerino thread died for this!!
>shit enemy variety
>melee low tier mooks
>mid tier mooks with gimmicks like stun immunity/spikes
>ranged casters
>aerial melee enemy
>aerial ranged enemy
>big heavy enemies
>elite evasive enemies
?
>dmc
>complex
KEK
Name an action game character more complex to play than DMC5 Dante.
Most videogames have the issue where they are designed around reactionary playstyles, and souls games are one of the worst offenders. Taking initiative just doesn't work in a single player game, and souls players would be better off playing pvp games. But then they'd actually have to put in effort.
DMC never felt fluid
>style switcher
Cringe
sekiro has those too except for maybe aerial range enemies
still bad variety and most of the time the enemies look really similar to each other. at least compared to other fromsoft games sekiro falls short in terms of enemy variety and its similar to dmc5
>modded gameplay
yikes
without the combo system telling how kewl you are doing with numbers popping out the dmc combat system would be instantly considered shit and nobody would bother, it's crazy how many dopamine friend faggots shill this game's combat system because it shows how well you're doing during combat
Ellie from TLoU2
>sekiro has those too except for maybe aerial range enemies
>samurai
>samurai but with hat
>samurai but with a boomstick
Get out
>most of the time the enemies look really similar to each other.
Ah yes, Fury is so similar to Empusa. Or angelos being a carbon copy of Riots
>i-it doesn't count
like pottery
Both are tranny tier.
We have either
>mash buttons to juggle
Or
>roll simulator.
Theyre both trash, and pretending otherwise is disingenuous.
Its okay niggers you can still like trash. Doesnt mean it isnt trash though.
>a bandaid style switcher
>c-counts
Lmao
Do you have nothing better to do that be stupid on an anonymous image board?
DMC 3 modded shits on any action game. Period.
go back to gamefaqs.
>buttblasted Nathan
Embarrassing
>>samurai
>>samurai but with hat
>>samurai but with a boomstick
>Get out
what about monkey, zombie, flamethrower guy, giant ogre or lightning dog?
>V levels
>complex
You can genuinely faceroll your controller and get an SSS in those levels. I'm convinced it's how most people got the achievement.
>monkey
Reskinned samurai
>ogre
>flamethrower
You got me
>lightning dog
Normal dog but a yellow spark
hack n slash threads don't get replies without consolewar faggotry in the OP
Every character action game I've tried besides Ninja Gaiden is piss-easy on the first playthrough. From games force me to care immediately, games like Bayo and DMC5 basically go, "W-well you can care if you feel like it..." on the first playthrough. The first playthrough is always the most important and most of these kinds of games treat it like a tutorial. This objectively fucking sucks and makes finishing the first playthrough feel unearned and unsatisfying whereas finishing a From game always feels like you genuinely accomplished something. I think I died more to Isshin my first time than the entirety of my first two DMC5 playthroughs combined. No matter how complex a game is, if its easy its easy. I'm not gonna feel like I did anything impressive even if made sure to combo as much as possible if my enemies seemed like they could have been dispatched just as easily by mashing buttons. I also don't want to play a game 3 times before it starts to get as hard as an average From game. I've said my piece.
Ogres play more or less the same as other big boss enemies. You also only fight like three of them through the whole game.
An actually different enemy type are the fast slashy ones, like O'rin and the centipedes. But again, those are also limited in numbers.
>besides Ninja Gaiden is piss-easy on the first playthrough.
Ah yes, Ninja Gaiden with 15 healing flasks and no penalty for using + iframes out of ass
dmc3 is kind of hard also it doesn't count if you use items (you literally didn't beat the game)
the placement of enemies in sekiro is pretty bad imo, they could habe done more but decided to put the same human enemies through 90% of the game
Souls games are 90% knowing when to roll and 10% punishing the enemy. Most altercations solutions use the left stick, the B/Circle button, and R1/RB.
>but decided to put the same human enemies through 90% of the game
Human enemies = best enemies
What are you smoking
id love to see footage of you absolutely destroying in NG on master ninja my dude
A better question is why do DMC brainlets cope with their failure of a life by playing a shitty button masher?
People mock FROM games for the abundance of i-frames, and it's especially deserved for DS3, but what action games DON'T have generous i-frames?
>DMC makes you invincible while ascending your jump
>MGRR dodges (and parries) have very generous timing
>you can practically remain invulnerable forever if you keep mashing dodge in Nier Automata
In fact, Sekiro is the only character action game I can recall with tight i-frames, you get like 0.2 seconds on dodging, to encourage parrying instead.
I play and enjoy both.
>master ninja
>you need to beat game 3 times to unlock it
>also don't want to play a game 3 times before it starts to get as hard as an average From game.
?
This looks boring as hell. Visually interesting, but not fun to actually play. Only brainlets enjoy this.
>sekiro
>character action game
Retard-kun.....
dmcfags are subhuman dopamine friend animals
I legit just want to see you play if you find it so easy. I wasn't being sarcastic. I assumed you must have beaten it on MN if you're making the claim that its that easy.
tf is character action anyway? is this a new term some faggot youtube game reviewer popularized and faggot redditors ran with?
>The first playthrough is always the most important
To you, maybe. To me a game that doesn't hold up on replays is a lot less memorable. And DMC only gets better and better with subsequent replays.
>weightless anime crap
weebs are so easy to please
I'll stop comparing and shitting on Souls-games when the fanbase stops overrating the fuck out of them as gods gift to humanity and downplaying everything else that's not made by Fromsoft.
