What do you think is the most likely release time for Nintendo Switch 2?

Nintendo said they want a 10 year life cycle
Until sales slump or they signal otherwise, I'm taking them at their word.
Holiday 2025. 400USD with a 500USD model similar to OLED (minor upgrades) and possibly a 300USD lite (probably not all at once)
It's impossible to predict Nintendo because they have practically carved out their own corner of the market. Sony and Microsoft don't really compete with Nintendo anymore, and vis versa
Tendies be like
>graphics don’t matter
but then they will be like
>WHERE’S MY FUCKING SWITCH 2?!
Ten year life cycle doesn't mean it isn't replaced several years before production stops, as with all their consoles.
there is no such thing as tendie logic
Nintendo also said the GBA was in the middle of its lifecycle when they released the DS.
They also said that the NX (Switch) wouldn't replace the Wii U and the 3DS.
Late 2023
>Zero reason to release a "Switch Pro" at this point, the Oled was the "Switch Pro." Maybe they planned better hardware for it but they couldn't get the parts in time.
>Switch 2 with better hardware and exclusives games makes way more sense
>Could be released early for Botw 2, or have a Botw 2 performance boost as a highlight comparison for the system
Personally I think late 2023 makes the most sense since it would be a holiday release and follow the 2 year pattern.
It didn't. 3DS onyl finished production.last year and Wii U's were being made for years after Switch released.
2025 once they run out of ports to milk.
They secretly want an upgrade but they'll never admit it. Before the Oled release there was nonstop "Switch Pro" shitposting. And then when Valve does what Nintendont suddenly it's "graphics don't matter, the Switch is the only system with good games" (despite not having any lol)
Why do you call it "switch 2"
Name one Nintendo game for Wii U made after BOTW.
We want the boost in power so that ported AAAs don't have dog shit performance. It's not about MUH GWAFIX
Because Switch Pro is not happening, and they hopefully won't call it Switch U.
>And then when Valve does what Nintendont
Have a non OLED screen in 2022?
Graphics scale with better hardware retard.
So call it the switch successor. Nintendo doesn't do gay ass numbered consoles like trannystation
Imagine being proud that you have burn-in on your 20fps console.
So does performance, tranoid
Modern OLED tech doesn't burn in. It's been tested for thousands of hours. I'm sorry Gabe missed the memo.
>Nintendo said they want a 10 year life cycle
This doesn't mean the successor launches 10 years later, you idiot
There's a phase out period where they'll both be available. Switch 2 is coming in 2023 or 2024, no later
>They secretly want an upgrade but they'll never admit it.
Why can’t they be fucking honest? There’s nothing with saying “i love nintendo games but holy fuck i wish nintendo didn’t lived in the BC times”
>We want the boost in power so that ported AAAs don't have dog shit performance
As much as i dislike you, i must say you guys aren’t missing much. Like the only relevant AAA that didn’t end up being a shit show was elden ring
Yeah they just call consoles confusing quirky tranny names like "Wii U" that consumers confuse with the original console.
user meant that you claim you don't need better hardware (which leads to better graphics and performance) than the current Switch but secretly you want better. You know this too you disingenuous turd.
>there's a phase out period
Which is why I said holiday 2025, a good 15-18 months before the 10 year anniversary.
3DS similarly wound down in late 2018.
The screen having bezels is worse than it having a vibrant IPS display, and it's cancelled out by how much better it performs than a Switch.
>Why can’t they be fucking honest?
We are. Most Nintendo Switch first party IPs run at 60fps. The "switch pro" is entirely about getting ports to run better and attracting more 3rd party devs. It's not hard to understand.

Contrast is a little worse but other than that it's barely a downgrade, and it absolutely mogs the original Switch's washed out vomit screen.
(You)
I disagree
>Most Nintendo Switch first party IPs run at 60fps
Only half did at best, and the mass majority of those are incredibly simplistic casual Mario games.
See
>Most Nintendo Switch first party IPs run at 60fps
tendies coping this hard
Why would they ever bother? The switch is still going strong and Nintendo is an awful company. There is clearly still a large consumer demand for a shitty little handheld that struggles to output 1080 in docked. Mind you - I fucking own one lol but yeah.
>Only half did at best
Nah it's closer to 80% than half. Stunning considering other platform first party IPs exclusively target 30fps.
See 75% of the price for less than half the performance and slightly better blacks.
I love my OLED switch and I love watching people who don't enjoy video games any more on here malding about it
Get rekt
Not an argument
I disagree

>Switch: Currently 5 years (2017-present)
The Switch is hugely successful at the moment, and there's little pressure for Nintendo to upgrade the hardware now that they're no longer in an arms race with Sony/Microsoft/Sega. Realistically, the Switch successor is already being designed, but it's not going to launch until Switch sales start to flag. The availability of parts is also a factor—Nintendo won't want to face the same sort of supply shortages that we're seeing with the Playstation and Xbox, not to mention the OLED Switch.
I'd say 2024 at the earliest, with Q1 2025 being my best guess.
Most IPs on the Switch run at 30fps. Only about 6 have 60fps games, and it's mostly Mario titles.
60fps switch exclusives
>Smash Ultimate
>Metroid Dread
>Odyssey
>Splatoon 2
>Mario Party
>Mario Golf
>Mario Tennis Aces
>Bowser's Fury (hardly an "exclusive", dlc at best but I'll include it to pad the list)
>Ringfit
>Link's Awakening (with frame drops)
>Arms (with frame drops)
6 IPS.
30fps Switch Games
>Botw (with frame drops)
>Animal Crossing New Horizons
>Pokemon SWSH
>Pokemon Legends Arceus
>Astral Chain (With frame drops)
>Kirby Forgotten Lands
>Xenoblade Chronicles 2
>Monster Hunter Rise
>Xenoblade Chronicles DE
>Luigi's Mansion 3
8 IPS
Notice that the IPs have a mix of 60fps and 30fps games. They can't even get a multi-title IP to have exclusively 60fps entries. When a Luigi's Mansion or a Kirby game are running at 30fps, you know there's a problem.
>They secretly want an upgrade but they'll never admit it
Thats mostly people who dont have a Switch yet
>entirely about getting ports to run better and attracting more 3rd party devs
Some games are getting ported already (Demon Slayer, 13 Sentinals, Crystar).
>Most Nintendo Switch first party IPs run at 60fps.
The ones from EDP. Games like Age of Calamity have shit framerate. Fobidden Forest also just hit 30 fps but at least it’s stable, at least the demo was
>lists 11 titles
>"6 IPs"
>padding put your 30fps list with 3rd party IPs
>and it's still over half
He's right.
Splatoon 2
Odyssey
3D World + Bowser's Fury

Link's Awakening
Mario Maker 2
NSMBU Deluxe
Tropical Freeze
Super Mario Party
Mario Party Superstars
Metroid Dread
WarioWare Get It Together
Bayonetta 1 and 2
Arms
Ring Fit Adventure
Mario Golf
Mario Tennis
All 60fps.
Jesus christ your mental gymnastics are impressive. You ever think of trying out for the olympics?
Switch doesn't need graphics. It needs stabled frame rates.
I did but was disqualified because of an Adderall abuse.
Stop replying you autistic manchild
Consoles phase out for more than a year and a half.
Switch : 2017-2022
Switch 2 : 2022-2027
March 2023 with BOTW2
When sales start to slump
So probably 2024
Doesn’t matter since games will be release on both
There is no conceivable way that a new Switch is releasing within the next eight months. MAYBE some sort of 4k Switch Pro could happen this fall, but I think those rumors are mostly dead at this point.
What function do the blue LEDs on buttons serve?
This is most likely. We should have confirmation in June, at latest by September
It really doesn’t matter, Oled models have a 4K capable hdmi port and Nintendo is using AMD upscaling in their games now
>4k Switch Pro could happen this fall
they will probably release a dock with build-in upscaler
I'm hoping Spring 2023 for obvious reasons
>release time for Nintendo Switch 2?
You mean the new Switch from the Nvidia leak?
October 2022.
