Will miyazaki's armored core be a soulslike?

Hope so.
Hunter Price
I hope not
Joseph Foster
none of the others were and he did those too
it's literally his series
Christopher James
>Zanzibartbot3000... forgive me...
Andrew Wright
how would a big mech souls like even work? dodge roll would look stupid as fuck
Juan Moore
>zanzibartbot
>not zanzibot
you fucked up
Mason Hill
No
Wyatt Rodriguez
Armored core is really fast paced so probably not
Landon Morris
It would be a jet boost and it would give extremely limited or no iframes. Hopefully, it would involve entering and exiting your mech and having to shoot things on foot with limited boosting capabilities.
Ryan Garcia
>not Zanzibot3000
do better user it was right there
Jackson Brooks
Hope not, I want giant plodding death machines with recoil and jump jets. Not rolling twink robots with berserk swords
Noah Robinson
Boosting around
Michael Cooper
I hope the game has a Nineball.
Dominic Johnson
I'm fine with giving my mecha a Berserk sword as long as it's swung with some level of speed.
Justin Jones
it's going to end up big sword, fast katana and guns(magic)
Robert Perez
No, and he's responsible for the series permanently gaining a speed increase.
Joshua Perez
It kind of already was.
They shared a similar control scheme. The shoulder buttons representing sides of your character is a unique feature present in most of Fromsofts games. Most other action games don't take a body part approach to assigning attacks the way souls AND armored core do.
Justin Sanders
like souls with a jetpack
Jacob Price
After the last zoom zoom AC game? No.
Between the rise in polarity of dark souls and the gotta go fast gameplay of the last AC games. I have zero faith they would make anything beside a flaming prolapsed anus
Ayden Walker
I can just imagine it. A game with 20 sec sword animations and your robot explodes after 2 hits from anything.
Henry Butler
Shameful
Jaxson Garcia
>The shoulder buttons representing sides of your character is a unique feature
Holy shit this has to be one of the stupidest fucking things ever posted on Yea Forums.
Lincoln Adams
ACVD wasn't that fast. Certainly faster than V but not that much more.
It was also my favorite next to Nexus and Last Raven
Ethan Nelson
How do you fuck up the gimme of Zanzibot?
Colton Roberts
is armored core more like dark souls or ace combat>
Gavin Bailey
Dodge spins
Jace Peterson
Armored Core is nothing like souls
If anything soulsfags wouldn't like the game, AC is more like Nioh in gameplay
You just can't make a Souls in which you have access to so many weapons really fast and you have so much mobility that it feels you are actually powerful, it goes against the philosophy of souls games in which they gimp the player so he can't use anything other than the bare minimum to get by, in armored core you can use everything at once to do combo shit and there is a shop to make builds, and its mission based, its just too different and I don't know if normalfags will like it
Sebastian Cruz
like sekiro
Andrew Stewart
Zanzibot....were Ravens...this is just how it is....
Jordan Gutierrez
I missed out on AC all my life and want to get into it. Where should I start, what should I emulate? I thought the later games on PS3 were poorly received.
Austin Bennett
ACVD is the fastest by input density and the most tactically demanding, which is also why it's often the most hated by retards like the one you're responding to.
youtu.be
Landon Carter
Gabriel Perry
start with custom robo on gamecube
Nicholas Brooks
I wouldn't mind.
Isaiah Rodriguez
Theres two eras, pre 4 and post 4. 3 is probably the best representation of the pre-4 gameplay. Get pcsx2 and play it. Its not an easy game and the controls are a bit hard to get into so be warned.
John Perry
Easiest answer is start with AC2 and play all of the 2nd generation games, then do AC3 and all of the 3rd generation games, then AC4->ACFA->ACV->ACVD. AC2->ACLR are all extremely easily emulated.
Blake Myers
Honestly, I'd love a Soulsborne mech game. The Surge was probably the closest we've come to it, but being able to swap out parts like a Front Mission game, changing your performance, maybe giving you access to different areas, tell me that wouldn't be rad as hell
Noah Jackson
It would easily be possible to combine gameplay elements from both, so maybe
Anyone that thinks it's impossible and that the ideas are incompatible has an incredibly poor imagination, or are holding some really specific things as sacred that they maybe shouldn't be
Leo Stewart
escaflowne is broken in SRW
Lincoln Foster
>says guy with no comps
Lincoln Russell
It would be shit, just like The Surge. The primary issue with The Surge is the extremely shit combat and the existence of advanced technology literally being borderline pointless. The simplicity of an AC being able to primarily exist in a state of Boost combined with energy management sets it apart from just being a regular human fumbling around with a metal pole.
Alexander Jenkins
It wouldnt be. From shouldnt be a one trick pony. let AC be AC
Carson Perez
He was the director for AC 4 and For Answer so it will probably be fine
Kevin Davis
Aiden Morales
Energy management is just stamina with extra steps
Boost is fundamentally not much different from sprinting and dodging, aside from the degrees of movement
You thinking these ideas are incompatible speaks only to a lack within yourself
Ian Evans
Who said anything about it being an AC game?
Michael Gonzalez
how the fuck would it even work?
like the customization would be messy as hell
Angel Turner
Crest of Iron was better.
Dylan Clark
pretty much ace combat, but someone turned off the lightbulbs in the story (so it's dark and hard to understand), and you're in giant mechs
Asher Cruz
It will be a medieval setting with giant armored knights you can pilot like scaflowne, instead of fuel they use mana or prana with your life force at line.
Kevin Green
AC customization is just an equipment system with a slightly larger number of pieces than usual, and things like paint instead of character creation
Jaxson Kelly
>A game with 20 sec sword animations
It hurts you're barely even exaggerating. I've seen a lot of people call DS the "closest we have to a Berserk game" but the Ultragreatswords are slow as fuck and Guts is always described as swinging his really fast. Even if you're wearing enough armor to get some degree of superarmor, it's still not useful since most bosses can 2-3 shot you. In ER you're left spamming jump attacks to get a hit in quickly.
I'm hoping they really mix up the next Souls game and take a page from like Nioh. Let players dodge and attack at high speeds so boss fights are a crazy dance exchanging blows, instead of strafing around and poking between their increasingly long attack animations. Bloodborne got close to this so I'm not sure why they went back to the same old shit with Elden Ring.
The only reasonable explanation I can come up with is bad netcode. Even with slow animations, you still see funny hitboxes and dudes taking damage several seconds after hitting them.
Lucas Rivera
first time in forever i get to post this
Kevin Carter
I like both
Mason Allen
You do realize AC already has mech customization, yes?
Chase Reed
Thanks, guess there's more worth playing than I thought.
You know I never did play that either, fuck. I forgot I wanted to.
Nice. Love me a good recommendation infographic.
Anthony Peterson
it's bad enough you soulsfags killed armored core now you want to wholesale steal it? fuck you
Connor Murphy
We're coming for cookie and cream next
Hudson Long
NOOOOOOOOOOO
Kayden Campbell
Posting the leaked screenshots
Gabriel Anderson
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Jaxson Martin
Well nobody else is going to make my dream open world mech game
Asher Brooks
I meant if we're getting 1:1 souls gameplay, it's gonna be the attributes that determine most of the build and the mech customization would just be cosmetic at best
Jose Moore
>the entire 2nd row
>the 1st pic from 3rd row
>the 3rd pic on the 4th row
Isaac Miller
>open world open world open world
open your brain with a bullet and vent it to the world you stupid nigger.
James Jackson
This
Anthony Rodriguez
My personal favorite is the 1st one from the 1st row, as it shows based quad legs.
Cameron Thompson
Calm down, retard, it's not my fault you think that term means ubisoft game design
Alexander Phillips
I would have immediately claimed all of these to be fakes if not for the particular architecture. From really does have this fixation on sprawling futuristic nightmare architecture.
Brayden Hill
>if we're getting 1:1 souls gameplay
Why would we?
Why would you see "I want this game to have elements from this other game" and automatically assume the intent is 100% of the mechanics of one, and nothing but the aesthetic from the other?
Brayden Barnes
if it was actually going to be soulslike, here's the changes
>souls turns to credits, everything has some sort of bounty because of the over-reliance on technology has made things end up being micromanaged by a rogue A.I.
>since it would actually make more sense, you go from mission-based instances to a designed open world. something like elden ring's size would play really nicely with ACs but it would need to be adjusted to prevent sequence breaking because of boosters, likely from automated turret systems that just hide kill planes
>bonfires are abandoned garages, let's just chalk up the part selection as hammerspace bullshit because fuck you that's much friendlier to play
and that's it
that's literally all you can really go for
i love quad legs, just such a raw, visceral way of doing things
Jason Brown
How would you guys feel about from doing a left alive sort of game set in the AC universe?
Henry Green
open world games have no content and are made for no brain nigger retards
Jace Smith
Cookie and cream souls isn't nearly as good as echo night beyond souls.
Eternal elden ring is also p.good
The strangest was murakumo mech pursuit souls.
Let's not get into steel battalion Kinect souls
Joshua Collins
hey it happened to Elden Ring so...
Nathaniel Ramirez
You first faggot
Jordan Gutierrez
False
Jonathan Adams
>open world mech game
I just think it'd be weird for the maintenance part alone.
Adam Smith
>I meant if we're getting 1:1 souls gameplay
Why the fuck would we get shitty barebones Dark Souls gameplay in a fucking mecha game? Dark Souls doesn't even account for the player having jet boosters and machine guns; did you expect them to get stripped out?
William Gutierrez
I hope so, if only because Magical Mecha is kino and underrepresented.
Isaac Stewart
Why the fuck can we never get anything nice? All these cool ass ideas, and yet the lowest bidder is what's picked.
Lucas Murphy
Elden Ring isn't mashing 2 different concepts together, it's literally just Dark Souls with a new universe
Parker Rivera
Left alive was trash though.
If you mean "you can get out of your mech" sure, but the only good implementations of that were shogo, gnome, and lost planet.
Aiden Jackson
Elden Ring is a new title and explicitly a Dark Souls successor. It's not an established series with 20+ years of gameplay conventions, you dumb fuck.
Kevin Howard
Hopefully Miyazaki won't be allowed to touch the game. His black touch ruins everything and he is creatively bankrupt, only capable of stealing ideas.
If you still refuse to accept reality and try to claim Dark Souls 4: Eld Ringer is a good game then I strongly suggest you play KING'S FIELD to understand why you are objectively wrong.
Brandon Flores
>Hopefully Miyazaki won't be allowed to touch the game
he worked on 4 and 4answer, and those came out fine
