I play similar to this but I keep a Katar with lifesteal fist + HP/FP crit talismans handy so I can live anywhere off the mooks. Might have to add Misericode cause not everyone is human.

Is the damage high because of arcane scaling? I thought rivers of blood damage was meh at +10 compared to other weapons unless you inflict bleed.

Yes. RoB scales with both Dex and Arcane, and on top of that, Blood loss damage scales with Arcane, so it's pretty much the perfect Blood loss weapon

Arc fix went from broke and unusuable to absolutely fucking disgusting.
Literally strongest "strength" build boils down to wielding 2 great omenkiller axes and rolling arc/occult.

Now add occult uchi/nagakiba with seppuku weapon art and you literally proc hemorrhage with every press of L1 button - while getting 30% AR bonus from white mask and blood talisman.

And those retards are the people who type "git gud" when you complain about balance of faith builds when fighting mogh with 80% fire resistance and 40% holy/lighting resistance.

Nigga you can literally get this weapon within 2 hours of playthrough by cheesing some early game somber weapon to +9 within 30 minutes and then unlocking lift and running straight to Morgoth. Or just ask a bro to drop it for you.

Who cares if people build broken builds and abuse Ashes of War? It's a PVE game. Breaking it is what makes it so fun in the first place. I can't play DS1 anymore without killing pinwheel first since it opens the game up and lets you shit on everything up to midgame bosses. Should that get patched too?

Same. When I actually reached mountaintop and fought the first trash mob with 6k hp that deals more damage than any boss I encountered before I said fuck it and started cheesing. I rerolled from my pure strength build to a Blasphemous Blade faith build dealing 4k damage with weapon art. Then I decided to say "fuck it even harder" and started using summons for boss fights when my big boy Mogh rolled me 10 times in a row because he has 80% fire resistance.

Highest posture break in game. Literally can posture any boss in game in 3 hits while being relatively fast WA. Most bosses break in 2 WAs. You don't even have to upgrade the weapon, the poise is always the same. You can just put it on a +0 dagger and swap whenever you feel like cheesing with poise break.

its actually more gameplay, because now i dont have to wait 20 seconds for a boss to do some string then hope he doesnt change the string at the end because he read my healing input. now i can heal then go back to fighting instead of running away trying to heal

I find much more satisfaction in coming up with broken builds that let me dunk on hard bosses than I do playing rolling simon says using iframes before pressing R1 once to deal 9% of their total health.
Souls gameplay is really really bad. The only game which was fun to actually play was Sekiro, and that's because focusing on parrying as the main defensive mechanic made the game much cooler and more active.
