It was one of the few episodes I liked. It was a nice subversion. If it was me, I wish I had the ability to not feel uncontrollable fear so I could treat her well, like she deserves for being nice to everyone.

Most of Elden Rings enemies are rather tame but I find these guys to be among the most creepy and especially disgusting I've seen in a video game.
The way they move and their fucking face looks makes me uncomfortable.

Probably doesn't matter. I remember when the first volume dropped, some were reporting that the episodes appeared out of order which was weird to me. I never looked further into the whole situation.

If the episode could have been longer, I'm sure they would have made his decision to see the truth be more drawn out, if that makes any sense. Give him more time to think about it before finally snapping and demanding to know. The episode's not that long so they had to cut to the chase.

It's not that high of a bar. Entire personality types don't have emotional conniption fits over high stress scenarios, but instead put their emotions aside until they've dealt with the situation and the adrenaline has gone from their system. To be presented with a scenario where you intellectually already know most of what's going on, and then just not having a mental breakdown when being given confirmation, is totally doable.
