Blaidd is a construct from the two fingers. He's supposed to help Ranni do the bidding of the two fingers/greater will. If Ranni starts working against the fingers, they activate murder mode on Blaidd.

He'd been fighting the murder mode for a long time and succumbed to it in the end.

Ranni controls the black knives. She send them to kill Blaidd.

He's essentially a sleeper agent for the Greater Will and they activated his kill command when Ranni went against the Greater Will. It sucks that he has to be old yellered, he was a bro and wanted to serve Ranni until the end

He was basically MKultra'd but was able to resist his programming. Iji locked him away because he didnt trust him completely but he later says that was a mistake because Blaidd was strong willed enough to resist and continue serving Ranni until he felt betrayed by everyone else.
