Chrono Cross ''remaster''

Is chrono cross any good? I only played chrono trigger back in the day.

yes, but not as a sequel and not so much mechanically. It's got good music though

Its ok, a bit too easy though, leveling is limited and kind of random but you won't notice because the game is that easy most of the time

overall it is an OK game that gets more praise than it deserves for being the sequel of a classic and having great graphics for its time

Pixel fonts should always be left as close to their original form as possible. AKA fucking pixels.
Smoother/higher res fonts are OK for Japanese fonts since most of these old ass games had fonts that burned my eyes trying to read them on 240p CRTs.

The menu font on the other hand was obviously just a bunch of bmp form shittily anti-aliased higher-res fonts, so naturally it's fine for these to be smoothed out a little bit since it would be hard to replicate the level of jankiness while keeping it OK to read.

Is there a way to play this on Duckstation and be better than this Remaster?
Say a 60FPS patch, widescreen, no 2 seconds input delay on battles, etc?

Outside of the 3D models (of which there are so few) Final Fantasy 8 Remaster gets my vote purely for NOT SCALING THE FUCKING BACKGROUNDS and for binding literal fucking cheat codes to the triggers. No joke, you walk around and accidentally press L2, boom now you're invincible.

You can get Poshul before you even leave the village to go get Komodo Scales. Heckran bone from under the bed on the east side. Also remember to tell Kid to heck off so you can recruit Leena, and get Kid in Termina.

I bought it. Never played more than 2 minutes while I was testing out emulator settings, I hope it's either good or a complete fucking disaster, will be mad if it's just mediocre.

I kinda liked Chrono Trigger, but it was nothing special. I remember laying Chrono Cross but dropped it for whatever reason.
