The biggest problem about Odyssey was the inflated moon count, making collecting moons feel like absolute shit unlike any other main collectible in any other mario game. The funny thing is even the shittiest collectaton platforming game has realized it's a good idea to separate the key collectible that symbolizes the completion of a mission and the side collectibles which can be received trough braindead actions like stomping the ground.

How fucking Mario Odyssey has more amateurish game design than even the shittiest game in its genre is embarrassing and pathetic.

No, platforming is le good and sunshine was bad because fludd trivialised it and there were so many gimmick shines which didn't have any platforming. There was the fluddless stages but they were just mediocre. If you want a pure platforming mario there are far better options, even odyssey is better since cappy adds to the mechanics instead of being a retarded get out of jail free card like fludd.

I agree with all of this except 2, I'm not sure what he means by this. Enemies at the endgame didn't feel particularly tanky to me and didn't do much more damage than anywhere else did at appropriate level. I guess he goes into more detail in the video.

I like how people never seem to get that being able to do game heavily restricted isn't actually a defense against bad design. Something can be badly designed and still be overcome.

I mean shit want a Nioh 2 example the owl boss is badly designed because there unless you just deal absurd amounts of damage it's complete RNG if you can avoid damage during his darkness phase since the attacks aren't synced to each other.
