What fucking timeline are we in where goddamn LEGO can make a better character action game than Platinum in 2022?
>LEGO
you have to be 18 to post on this website
It's ok
I'm from /toy/
Here is my hatred for lego license
Does this game have Disney Sequel shit in it?
Lego videogames are older than anyone currently browsing this board
fpbp
>reverse magnetism
>side switching
>buffering
>character action game
am I crazy or why does it feel like there are new buzzwords being created like every single day. Who gains from this. Did this start with UX? It's shit like UX where the concept has been around for 40 years yet all of a sudden it's talked about, referenced every day so much it needs a stupid shortening. fuck this shit for reala
Platinum didn't put one out this year yet. Babylon's Fall is one of the worst games I've ever played but it's really just a generic Dungeon crawler that ripped off its loot and quest systems from other popular games at SE's behest. The one interesting thing it has is just a less versatile Multi-Unite.
But yeah that LEGO tech is pretty cool, I like seeing people Crack open unsuspecting games mechanically.
This game really disappointed
Game dev has become a field that is more codified now so there's more terminology. The medium is under half a century old so only now is it becoming academic.
UX shit is just fromdrones being unable to think, they'll also use UX and UI interchangeably
Ive mever heard anyone say ux until i saw the hprizon developers bitching about elden ring lacking in. Ive already fogotten what it means.
I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure it's shorthand for User Experience. I think it means Quality of Life stuff?
is star wars really still popular or not?
Yea, it mean shit like not being able to close the start menu with the start button, having to navigate through sub menus to get what you want, etc.
UI would be the position of text and icons
platinum has two good games under their belt and that game is God Hand and Okami
Every other game is just shit and mediocre reusing the same menus, mechanics, ui etc
all of them have a shitty story with shitty characters and tons of cutscenes that interrupt the gameplay, only autists that obsess over "muh gameplay" like their newer games
Disney marketing machine brought the brand back to relevance. Making new movies is just to create a basis for new merch.
It does mean more like QoL stuff. Not "is there a minimap" but "why am I using this soul 20 times instead of using a number bar". So they're interconnected but not the same
>everything everything is DMC now.
much action.
such juggle.
wow.
and you should've stopped caring about its existence after you passed the 11 or 12 yo mark.
Shit take. You aren't unique for liking those games. Those two, TFD, TW101, the Bayonettas, Vanquish, Automata and AC are all good. It's unclear what they even did for SFZ. People are just obsessed with "popular bad" when it doesn't mean either good or bad. Platinum don't even sell well enough to call them overexposed
Well yea, it's why it's just butthurt fromdrones repeating it because someone dare to insult their perfect game
My life is like DMC lmao
Post gameplay webms
I know you're trying to shill me some children lego game just because I like DMC but no thanks.
>you have to be 18 to post on this website
If someone was 10 years old when this game came out in 2005, they are now 27 years old, user.
This looks janky as fuck. Even Drakengard 3 has more polished combat system
>he still plays games made for children
User Experience stuff is about reducing hassle for the user so they don't have a bad experience. Like simplifying the flow of a website to reduce how many clicks are needed to do something that is common for example. The thing that is specifically overlooked for gaming UX though is that sometimes things can be intentionally designed a certain way for a specific experience, and not everything should be reduced down to simple interface commands.
not being a parent lol
buffering is a concept/term that's been around since Street Fighter 2 where Zangief's 360 spin needed to be buffered with something else so he didn't jump into the air
idk about the others
Those LEGO SW games were better than they had any right to be given their intended audience. Same for the Marvel ones.
user... That doesn't make you a chad, you know that right?
someone post the video of that rebel soldier air-comboing a storm trooper with dmc music playing in the background
UX is a term you'd hear in a development office or linkedin, no shit you're not going to hear it here. Yea Forums just calls it "quality of life." It's not even a new term, stop bringing it up in random threads like a schizo.
>he still posts pepe.
All of these terms have existed for a long time zoomie.
All video games are made for children.
You will be reminded of it every time the title screen comes up.
even Rapelay?
not that user but being too insecure to play a mix of games does. Besides it's the next best thing to having a game with like two dozen explorable star wars planets but *not* Lego
thats not what it means retard
You seem more butthurt about it then they do
I remember now, it stands for user experience
"Experience" is an overused word and concept for things that don't constitute experiences at all.
>I had a terrible experience at (place)
are the words of someone whose opinion I immediately discard because you experienced nothing.
Likewise, user "experience" is dogshit terminology. You don't experience menus or an interface. There is nothing being undergone or undertaken. You're scrolling through fucking windows.
all games are childrens toys. inclusion of adult themes in a medium does not make it mature
Especially RapeLay.
I played that game when I was 10
Holy zoomer.
You're viewing the word too rigidly. Experience also means the impression something left on you because of how it felt to use.
>Character action
>New
Newfag spotted... Executing mission
Faggot
I am sorry to tell you this but words can mean more than one thing. I know autism makes the context of social interactions difficult for you, but that doesn't justify lashing out like this user.
I always read it as "ucks" and it pisses me off so that myvreason for not using it or caring for those who do
If it could survive the prequels it could survive the sequels. Besides Mando got everyone interested again.
Is the youtube video in the op not that or is there a different clip?
am i the only one that sees a huge grey dick on the thumbnail?
Ok but the game you posted is normie central. idk why you guys act like not knowing what "character action game" matters. you play as a character. yea. oh and he does actions. in a video game. ok. why not just say beat em ups or something instead
Not even apu, that user probably grabbed the pepe from Google images
So is the new one actually worth playing if I liked the old ones?
Not to enjoy it for the same reasons but it is a lot of fun.
sheeeeeeeeeesh look at jar jar go
holy shit you sound like a karen
LEGO is timeless you joyless fruit
No need to be that insecure user, it's okay to like what you like, a lot of people like lego games, you like getting a dick up your ass every night, and that's fine
AERIAL COMBAT!!!
I refunded the game after I realized the first fucking level was five minutes long and that the two minutes spent were cutscenes and a Ubisoft walking segment.
Does it get better?
Absolutely epic use of a Reddit meme there sir!
Pepe is from 2005
>same shitty combo spam
>dmc like
Sounds like DMC
I love that making the children characters immortal to prevent violence against them inadvertently made them the perfect punching bags
>redditfrog
Qui Gon NO!!!
Stylish Action or even Spectacle Action have always been better imo. They're still corny but they at least convey the intention better than fucking Character Action.
The movies? No. The shows? Sorta? Mando was a big hit but TBoBF was a but of a mess so things are quickly losing steam.
>gameplay from the Star Wars world in KH4
