World was meh in every regard but base Iceborne was legitimately good. Both shat the bed to the point of unplayability after updates

I beat every quest in world solo and the only quests I failed were capture quests where I accidentally killed the monster. Is iceborne better?

You should look at what kind of achievements some games have, there's stuff like having to read every line of NPC dialogue and lore in the game

Iceborne is the hard difficulty of the game, you probably will get your shit pushed until you get endgame gear and good decos

the person simply isn't interested in going for the achievements. i think i reached 100% at around 400 hours while spending a big chunk of that time not worrying about them at all

The only thing Rise has over World difficulty wise is that it doesn't gatekeep its most challenging content behind timed events. World had every AT and Siege behind gay events like some retarded MMO wannabe

Some achievements are tied to shit that nobody wants to go out of their way to do, like doing photo quests, looking for treasures, and shit like that.

If you somehow haven't hacked your 3DS yet, both 3U and 4U are regularly on sale for like 4$. Try either of those and then you can branch to GU or even Frontier, which is actually pretty simple to set up if you join a previously-made server.

No, World for some reason fused village (story) and guild (multiplayer) and you cannot multi a key quest until the poster has finished it. Rise went back to the classic system, with story and mutliplayer being separate.
Do keep in mind the "story" in Monster Hunter is invariably horrible and serves as little more than a glorified tutorial.
