I've never used a mechanical keyboard, always wanted one just cause I think something like a die cast metal capset would probably be good for me with how I type.
I've used a model M with a handful of converters/adaptors for well over 20 years now, but it's starting to finally die on me, a few of the keys don't work, I've cleaned them to the best of my ability but in truth the contacts are just worn down from being typed on every single day for years and I have nowhere near the skill to try a repair like that.

I listened to /g/ and fell for the mechanical keyboard meme. Had to send it back because it's SO LOUD.

I have a model M and I love it but I can't use it anymore now that I live with other people

I have a Microsoft keyboard and it's fucking cool as fuck. I think it's linear. I fucking hate any unnecessary sounds. My last keyboard was this chinese trash mechanical gaming keyboard and the keys would only press 1 out of 3 tries, it was the worst piece of shit I've ever used.
