>Sonic 2 movie already released
>We still dont know anything about this
WHAT THE FUCK!!??
Sonic 2 movie already released
Sega do what Nintendont
I hope we see Mario rape Peach and abuse in numerous ways, both physical and psychological.
>December 21, 2022
I mean, at least release us how character design look like
or at least, REVEAL THE NAME OF THE MOVIE ALREADY!!!
THIS SUMMER
Like go bankrupt?
Arcade is dead business
especially COVID
Please look forward to more information THIS SUMMER
So is Chris Pratt going to be doing a terrible Italian accent the entire time or just talk in his American accent?
>a terrible Italian accent
this one
COVID didn't stop the Japs from gambling away 4% of their GDP at pachinko
yeah, but that's only adult who play pachinko
children and teenage, who arcade aimed at, actually force to follow the restriction
THIS SUMMER
more like
THIS HOLIDAY
I still don't understand why Chris Pratt is Mario. I can understand other roles, but why Chris Pratt? How does he fit as Mario? Not complaining, it just seems so random
Buhhht anooon
Muh holliwüd a-list voice actoronos
>THIS SUMMER
Will be the beginning of the marketing push as Sonic 2 will be long forgotten by then.
But really, it;'s coming this year, why not a single info about this?
>nintendo is embarassed
>illumination is embarassed
>saving the trailer for some big event
>it's not done lmao
Mario characters are just boring, not even their boomer fans cant make good memes out of it
I think they're unironically wasting E3 time on this
I know E3 is cancelled but Nintendo will still do their "E3" direct
I can understand that he wouldnt do accent. But like he isnt even trying to change his voice to sound more mario like? Mario will sound like normal Chris Pratt?
What do you think Charles' cringe cameo will be?
How does normal Chris Pratt even sound like
Reposting what I know;
Part 1
>Shiggy breathing down the necks of Illumination, making sure they stay with the Nintendo designs, No or "very" slight changes to designs.
>Charles was not considered for a major voicing role due to his voice too annoying for long dialogue in his Mario voice, instead he does the opening credits "Wahoo!" and a group of minor characters.
>The English voice cast was completely up to Illumination as Shiggy can't speak English, Chris Pratt and Charlie Day only put in a very minor amount of "Italian accent" in their voice roles, it's more akin to the Older Cartoons.
Part 2
>Story is about how Mario and Luigi first got the the Mushroom Kingdom, first starting with Mario and Luigi's job as construction workers who save a woman from Donkey Kong, accidently destroying the unfinished building in the process and getting fired by Spike the Foreman.
>Later the two are desperate and become plumbers, on a job they have to go into the sewers where Luigi stops a Koopa, mistaking it for a turtle and following it after it runs, Mario tries to stop him until they both fall into a warp pipe.
>Rest of story is about Mario and Luigi meeting the rest of the cast and having to save Peach from Bowser, who sings a song about himself(Think it's a licensed song) until Kamek interrupts and embarrasses him.
>Due to their experiences with sewers the Brothers and Toad travel through the Mushroom Kingdom's underground in order to sneak into Bowsers Lair.
How do you know this?
based
Part 3
>Illumination originally want Peach to not wear a dress, but have the dress on only for her introduction and kidnapping, then after she escaped herself she would wear something on the lines of an adventurers outfit, Shiggy revoked the idea and heavily enforced the "No or very minor changes" rule.
>Bowser is played off as a bumbling idiot, but one with power and strength, while Kamek acts as the brains and Straight man.
Ex storyboard drafter.
likely shown at the E3 nintendo direct along with a new mario game tie in
his dad works for nintendo
>it's more akin to the Older Cartoons.
i'm interested
I mean we all pretty much know exactly what it's going to be like, but it is really weird that we still haven't gotten any official information
It would make sense to save the trailer for e3 or direct, but the movie is to release this year and we don't have a single promo image or still, it' weird.
However made that decision, it activly hurting the movie, driving up the hype trought the wall.
I love Mario but I don't have a single care in the world for this crap
anyone have the vocaroo?
At least, someone who work with Illumination leak something
instead absolutely nothing, except some voice actor
They're taking notes.
Anything else
What is the secret character that the movie trying to hide?
The third lost Mario bro.
SIGMARIO??
I know its probably stupid as fuck but I really hope they don't try to change Mario's voice in the video games. He has such an iconic sound it'd be fucking gay as hell if they changed it to sound more like pratt.
has a nice voice, actor isn't a wussy soi
I agree
Dunno if you're legit but sounds pretty good. Also based shiggy BTFOing the usual amerimutt sjws
Charles is getting pretty old, he won't be able to voice the characters forever
It's fucking Mario, make him record a WAHOOO,a MAMMAMIA and you got most of the shit it should say anyway
Yeah but I'd rather they get a sound alike for his voices rather than try to introduce a new sounding one that is less Mario if you get me.
Like Mel Blanc is long dead but Bugs still sounds like Bugs.
Also if they found Charles' voices too annoying why the fuck did they hire Charlie Day to voice any of the characters in the movie? That shit will never make sense to me.
Like every voice role he's ever done
Good to know that italians never were normal people to begin with.
Literally the entire cast listing so far for the Mario movie is the most cynical, investor-fellating lineup (including relegating Martinet to small cameos). The industry found a way to facilitate an official Mario product that's even more fucking soulless than New Super Mario Bros or nu-Paper Mario.
TFW Nintendo hasn't done a live event in 10 years.
Use an AI. That's okay for one liners, which is everything Mario says
Are people honestly expecting this to not be embarrassingly terrible? There is no timeline where this movie can possibly do well with the studio involved combined with the retarded casting of voice actors for a world where most of the characters are mute.
>BotW2 gets artificially fucked out of a 2022 release and likely also real coverage in the summer Direct
>instead the marquee item will be the fucking Mario movie trailer
This is so easily possible. I hate it.
>E3
This is being made by the people who made minions, why the fuck would you even care to know anything about it?
You're not excited for the wave of shitposting that will ensue?
seth rogan is playing donkey kong, that alone is meme fuel for the next decade at least
I think people saw how something like Mario + Rabbids ended up salvaging a doomed concept and thinking it'll apply here. If that's the logic, it doesn't work here.
>M+R is a small spinoff series, it's allowed to take some liberty with Mario (and toning down the Rabbids)
>the Illumination movie is a big product that also has ties to major theme parks (not to mention likely a huge specific merchandising push), and will have an inflated budget far above that of any Nintendo game; this movie WILL be the shittiest, safest, most focus-tested crapfest to not just appease Nintendo's shareholders/investors, but Universal's as well
Having any hope in this movie is the most lethal dose of copium in vidya history.
Late trailers aren't unheard of, but that IS generally a bad sign. This is an extreme example, but Solo: a Star Wars Story had its first teaser only three fucking months before release (not even full TRAILER, that only came just a month before). And in a hilariously out of touch marketing miscalculation, the teaser debuted at the Super Bowl.
NTA, but my pet theory is that they're going to have Jumpman as his own character (basically the Cranky Kong to Mario) and a shock secondary villain, and THAT will be Martinet's biggest role.
