my problem is that the non-SoL stuff is really good. Chapter 1 always had me questioning what was truly happening in the town, be it curse or not. For the longest time I always assumed the curse and the demon hunt wasn't real until near the end. It honestly reminded me of how I felt while reading Steins;Gate. I'm just hoping all of the chapters are worthwhile as the first, where the slog can be forgiven.

In that case ya it gets a lot better. Ch1-3 have the longest SOL segments. After that you'll probably actually want to pay attention and SOL has one of the best mysteries in a VN so enjoy it. It's my favorite VN ever and I lived S;G as well.
