There are so many different types of cancers that require different treatments so literally curing every type of cancer would be ridiculous. On the other hand, world hunger is a solvable problem with current tech and logistics and really only affects people in poor and developing countries. Plus guaranteeing everyone doesn't go hungry doesn't mean they are necessarily fed the best, most nutritious food, while eliminating cancer means just that, no other unforeseen consequences.

That's not even true, in 202X almost nobody actually starves to death outside of complete failed states like Zimbabwe and Somalia and even then the rates aren't that high

Cancer is an assembly line error. A fuckup, like tripping on a pebble while walking on the sidewalk. It's not predetermined in the genetic code. Skin cancer from too much UV radiation is one example.

the us gets a lot of sodium nitrate and fertilizer from russia so without that the farmed to shit barren landscape that is flyover states won't be able to produce as much food or they will have to rotate their crops.

Cure hunger. It'll cause issues sure but it's better in the long run if we survive, and would positively affect every country on the planet. We can always use the extra manpower to research cancer better.

Eliminate cancer. I cannot even imagine how it's possible to make sure no one ever goes hungry, making that goal impossible to begin with, so I'm not going to waste effort on it.

also i want to add that there was a dairy shortage for the past 6 months that is just starting to clear up and now there is a bird flu going around which has driven the price of eggs from $15/15 dozen in 2021 to $40/15 dozen last week when i went to the local restaurant supplier

there's no debate, to cure cancer is to cure 100+ different illnesses vs we choose to let people starve cause it makes money to do so

Humans create more than enough food to feed everyone but because it won't make some soulless suit money, we don't feed everyone. Grocery stores throw away just fine food because it's cheaper to do that then donate it.

Jesus healed all kinds of diseases, but there's no mention of him healing cancer in the bible. He did feed hungry people though. Therefore Feed the Hungry > Cure Cancer. It's just logic.
