Fuck Yea Forums for meming me into buying this piece of shit.
Fuck Yea Forums for meming me into buying this piece of shit
The input lag on 8bitdo's controllers is fucking insane.
Whats your problem with it user, works fine for me
I've been considering buying it. What issues did you have?
just return it
Filtered zoomer lololol
>buying this piece of chinkshit garbage instead of spending $20 more and getting a DualSense
do poorfags really?
I didn't do that, I told you to get an ibuffalo classic.
imagine EVER buying third party shit lmao
imagine EVER buying a controller lmao
>dualsense
>not the vastly superior xb1 controller with built in driver support
I buy every playstation and never owned an xbox, but they have made better controllers for the last 3 gens. They're the new controller king now that Nintendo's QA is in the trash.
How’s dualsense on pc?
lol fail op
I only buy controllers from Microsoft and Sonytendo.
I will NEVER buy another third party peripheral for two handed gaming again.
Xbone controllers fucking suck. Their RB/LB buttons clicking instead of simply depressing sucks.
>meme PS layout
lmao this shit was DOA
my motherboard is made by Asrock and they don't make controllers, so I have no choice.
Works the same as DS4. Never had an issue with it on any game. Just use Steam Config or DS4Windows and it works flawless with everything basically.
>PS
I am now baited, thank you
It doesn't take much to be better than a dualshock. Those have always been trash.
I like the sixaxis for PC, it works well most of the times with DsHidMini, the issue I have is that in certain games it won't work, like in Dark Souls PTDE where the face button inputs are all reversed
>"never had an issue with it on any game"
>requires xinput wrapper
how is the latency?
This is your mind as a consolebabby retard.
At any given time you can open task manager and you probably have at least 50+ background processes running. Yes, to use DS/DS4 with non-Steam games that don't natively support it, you will need a tiny portable open-source background program that uses basically zero resources and you can set to launch at start and you would never even know it's there.
If you are incapable of using a simple computer program, then you should not be gaming on a computer, you should be in a mental hospital with somebody wiping your ass for you.
If using Steam, its great. However, aside from that you'll need a custom driver pack that's comprehensive enough to support all its functions and do things like spoof XInput when necessary, on both Windows and Linux. DS4Windows for example (maybe BetterJoy, not sure if thats DualSense compatible or not). Not sure the latest FOSS driver packages
I don't have anything to complain, to me the responsiveness works exactly like using the xbox 360 pad I have
you wouldn't believe how much prices change in turd world countries.
For example, in Brazil, if you convert it to US$:
>XSX US$ 1000
>XSS US$ 520
I'm looking for a controller with the same polish as the pro controller but compatible for non steam games.
My criterias are:
-Asymetric joysticks
-USB-C
-analog triggers
I've already tried xbox one controllers and 2 knockoffs, after sometime the buttons on these controllers get stuck inside or they magically stop getting detected.
don't buy it, the D-PAD doesn't work well in Mario Maker 2, Mario turns around when he is standing still. The joysticks are very hard and will damage your fingers. Get the original controller for the Switch or a 360 controller for PC
>My criterias are:
>-Asymetric joysticks
How about you just get some HRT instead you fucking faggot?
Awful and mine has a fucking seizure whenever I'm using it with steam. I dunno what that other user is on about
>BRO THE DPAD IS EXACTLY LIKE THE SNES
We need white genocide.
How about you shove that HRT up your ass?
Since we are talking controllers, I was watching a video on those GPD handheld PC devices and an upcoming one that is using a different type of technology for analog sticks that doesn't have drifting issues, I don't know how it's written, it's Hal or something like that where the thing uses a magnetic field to detect where the stick is. I remember hearing about an analog stick in a Linus Tech Tips video about them making an arcade cabinet, and using a large device to put an analog stick in the cabinet, and it also used a magnet field thing to do analog movement. Is the technology being used for small sticks for gamepads new or something? Sounded really interesting to have a technology that doesn't have drifting issues given how prevalent they are these days
Is this really that bad? I mainly use a dualshock 4 for pc but I was considering getting this for my switch and possibly pc as well. I got a cheap adata controller for my switch and while it's functional it's pretty shitty feeling. For $30 I can't complain
just made me think of lil cheetus fuck
>Asymetric joysticks
Why not rope instead, faggot
Don't fall for the meme
X one, SeX and Switch pro are the only good choices for PC gaming, SeX would be the definitive option if it had gyro
YWNBAW
Why not put it up your ass?
Is this a sony shill thread?
Works completely fine. Better than any other 3rd party controller.
stop having a meme currency
Are you using it wired or wireless? Probably an issue with your PC's bluetooth
Just get the DualSense. It's basically DS4 but upgraded in every way (better cable, better ergonomics, better triggers and shoulders, mic button can be used as an additional button in Steam)
hi saucy
Never. >:^(
the only fucking ok thing these chink cunts have done is the adapter that lets me use my wii u pro on the switch
and even THAT fucking sucks, sometimes the adapter just drops stick inputs randomly and you have to unplug the adapter and plug it back in
genuinely fucking garbage company
Literally the only option is the sexpad. Anything else has poor support without using steam input and/or usermade drivers, not to mention everything outside first party MS/Sony controllers is guaranteed to be cheap garbage.
I've been using this launch ps2 controller and a dongle I got from amazon for like $5 for years now
I've tried wired and wireless but steam goes apeshit over it and either fucks out or the fucking thing gets ghost input and I can not fathom why
>Yea Forums
Fuck off I never recommend you this controller
You can get the same functionality from an Xbox One controller.
The switch pro controller is best for PC
I got the USB that lets me use my DS4 on my Switch and outside of only working when docked it works great.
>bought this
>felt alright
>felt solid
>dpad wasn't quite there, but certainly serviceable
>played a lot of different games using it
>3 weeks later
>its suddenly dead for no reason at all
>wont charge on 4 different cables
thank god it didn't even last 30 days, or i wouldnt have gotten my money back for this piece of trash
I wouldn't trust anything a chink says, specially GPD, when the Gabe Gear got announced they wrote a massive article full of bullshit in order to discredit it like saying you can't pirate on Linux.
>The joysticks are very hard and will damage your fingers.
lmfao
>Have every controller this gen and last and bought some third party controllers too
>The one that I liked the most was a $40 led controller
jesus christ
Literally never heard of that happening ever. Try forcing Steam Input off, or vice versa. Make sure you don't have something else like DS4Windows enabled if you are using Steam Input. If all else fails, just use DS4Windows instead of Steam Input.
First non-sponsored answer, thank you.
And yeah, i spent the day looking at options on Amazon and it's like that, either a sex or cheap shit...sigh
Not him but it kept disconnecting and the dpad is fucking terrible.
Fucking sucks
>NEED DS4WINDOWS for origin, retroarch, xbox, and blizzard
>retroarch detects 2 controllers even with exclusive mode on
>no way to find battery life other than ds4 windows
The worst part? There's controller updates. And the only way to download them is on ps5 so if you're on PC with dualsense, you're stuck on FW 1.0 or whatever the fuck it shipped with.
B won't come back up after 6 months of use. I guess some batches are just shit.
had it for months now and had no problem what is this meme
xbox controller is trash, this meme has to die
I got this thing and have had nothing but success with it, you guys are just retarded.
He bought...
I've tried all that shit and I'm not even mad. It's a great controller and works well with both of my raspberry pi, and it works good with my tablet but as far as gayman on my PC goes it's a literally disaster but I'm glad yours is working user
You're a retard. I told you to buy the Pro 2.
Do you have this one. how do you chekc the battery
I used to have one of those. It didn't feel anything like a SNES d-pad.. But that's kind of a good thing, it was very clicky and nice.
I don't trust chinks but the analog stick thing is a real thing
en.wikipedia.org
apparently the Dreamcast used this and it is more accurate than whatever they are using in modern controllers, so why have they ditched this thing? Is it that much more expensive?
oh ok i was like who actually hates the pro 2 most well made 3rd party controller ive used
What's the difference besides colored buttons and back buttons?
>>retroarch detects 2 controllers even with exclusive mode on
It's not actually detecting two controllers, this is only for Steam version and it's just the way Steam Input initially configures that it detects it, loses connection, and then detects it again very rapidly. But it doesn't actually affect the second controller or any games. It still is only ever connected to port 1 and you can still connect a second controller without issue. Really the only downside of this is you get two notifications for controller connection instead of one.
>no way to find battery life other than ds4 windows
I mean.. why do you *need* another way? You can literally configure it to adjust the color based on the battery percentage. It doesn't get any simpler than that.
>The worst part? There's controller updates.
I'm not actually sure what the controller updates do and I'm not even sure if they're actually worth it for PC gaming. The only thing I've ever noticed from a controller update was that after I updated mine recently, the lightbar would occasionally bug out and show two white lights instead of one. But the controller function, input lag, deadzone, etc. all seem to be totally unchanged after updates.
Money.
>"Oh your overpriced Dualshock with numerous bloated features you'll never use got drift after 3 months? lol just buy another one bro"
the original pro was there first crack at an alternative to nintendos pro controller it had alot of problems with drifting on analog and dpad they changed alot of the parts out for higher quality ones in the pro 2 tightened up the design and use custom ordered analogs to avoid drift that even dual sense still has
My 8bitdo fucking died and customer. Service ain't doing shit.
I have one of those and I feel like there's input lag when I use it on the switch. Can't be arsed to test it though
Nice lil' shill
