the running pokes and light attacks on this one are neat, although I'm not a fan of the heavy attacks, especially the charged ones, went through the majority of the game with it though

didnt get to use moonveil before the nerf, it's a very fun weapon to use for my PvE character w/ 80 int and barely enough to wield the thing after getting bored of using magic and stowing the DMGS on my back, I wish there is a sword with unsheathe that isn't a katana, though

The nerf is very minor, it just does less poise damage with the weapon art. It was actually unbalanced before, did the same amount of poise as a regular Unsheathe WA but from 20 feet away.

Try Wing of Astel and a cold Shotel if you're looking for more variety. Agree about Unsheathe though, it's very satisfying to use and quite powerful if you know how to use it properly.

i love ER a lot but it's a shame that both that and ds3 had worse weapons than bloodborne despite both coming out after it. it had less weapon variety on paper, but the movesets were so much more fleshed out and interesting

True. I've been playing a bit of bloodborne again after putting almost 200 hours into elden ring, and the melee combat is just so damn good. Really need to get around to playing Sekiro. The sheer customizability of Elden Ring is great, though. Experimenting with different types of infusions and ashes of war has been fun.

yeah ER was a fantastic experience and i definitely had fun with the combat, i just felt like there were too many weapons with generic movesets and one cool weapon art
also sekiro is fucking amazing, but nothing like souls. more pure action

Sekiro has easily the best combat in any game I've ever played. Playing elden ring after it is jarring.

I need to get around to buying it. The digital version on playstation is still $60 for some reason, and I haven't bothered to track down a used copy yet. My favorite fights are always the human with a sword type fights (Malenia, Maria, Gehrmen, etc) so I think I'd probably enjoy Sekiro.

I carry around 2 of these and do over 2K damage on every boss with the claw talisman. Could do more if I used that one Raven armor or something but I don't want to change.

Moonveil feels underwhelming imo. Even when everyone complained about it I didn't like it. Witth how much everyone hyped it I thought it would be the next coming of Christ, but it's just a better unsheathe. Pretty trash imo.

Why are so many people running around with this? is it the recommended E-Celeb sword or something? its either this or fucking katanas everywhere.
Literally no one uses UGS or great hammers or anything slow because the dev forgot slow weapons exist in this game when designing the mid/late game
