E3 is cancelled
2 months until streams
Not likely, there's no reason to stick to crowding all your announcements together, that only hurts and causes a downturn in interest for the month and change after.
It's better to spread stuff out so it seems like you're constantly announcing new stuff.
It's fucking over lads...
It’s over...
>2 months until ND, SSoP
doesn't have the same ring
Why did Joe “stolen election” Biden choose to cancel E3?
f
E3 has been a useless fossil for a long time. It's a miracle it lasted as long as it did in the face of what an extremely obvious and immediate game-changer the Nintendo Direct was.
E3 was amazing because the "E3 week" was just a week where everyone was announcing stuff regardless of whether or not they were in E3
looks like they're nazis lol
i've had the exact opposite problem, it's harder to plan to watch this shit with friends when it's an hour here and there, much easier to just take a day off and watch a bunch of conferences in one go
Cool, you are an exception. Sales and interest in new content drops in july most years, because E3 creates so much hype and interest that people burn out and stop caring.
It's exacerbated by ADHD ass zoomers who can't handle watching more than 30 seconds of one thing at a time.
Sony pulling out of E3 immediately after their humiliating 2018 experience was the point of no return. Having one of the big three platform-holders pull out made the show immediately hurt the venue's worth on paper, even if Sony's shows for the past few years in practice had largely only been exhausting repeat appearances of known exclusives and sloppy seconds from Microsoft's show.
To this day I still don't understand what Squilliam has to do with E3
Nothing dingus. It was just a meme template that got adopted for E3. His expression is that of extreme surprise, about what you used to expect from E3 years aago.
Reggie said before that the direct would benefit a lot from being in close proximity of other news and people were more "Engaged" during E3, so big news became even bigger. That's why they were running so close together and why Nintendo would always schedule a direct E3 week for their biggest news even though the value of being at E3 itself was going down.
We're probably going to get the same week in June centered around Geoff Keighley's show instead.
kino
>there are now going to be a ton of bullshit streams with a bunch of literally who and DLC announcements, with one major announcement at the end
none of these are ever going to be worth watching again after this year
There's still Yea Forums3
e3 2010 was there last memorable e3. watching konami's conference live with Yea Forums is still one of my favourite memories ever with this site. it was amazing.
>Redditbob "m-muh board culture" bullshit FINALLY dead
thank fuck, now maybe you tryhard faggots will go back to the hellscape you came from
>Twitter the Hedgehog
Blue checkmarks leave.
>Twitterhog
Go back
>twitterhog
buzz off!
it's coming back next year if they are to be believed
between the game awards already serving as a big event for announcements, and most of the major publishers are already hosting their own events, I really doubt we will see e3 again. at least not at the scale we are used to. could maybe end up just being one day with the shit like the pc show or devolver being the only attendees
>expect from E3 years aago.
Eons at this point
I agree the event is obsolete, but that's what they've said. Both physical and streaming event returning next year. We'll see what actually happens.
these anons have it right. e3 is outdated and inefficient, it's a fun for shitposting on the uzbekistani cricket association bulletin board but other then that there's not much of a reason for the event to exist anymore from a practical standpoint.
having a june "e3 week" to contrast with TGAs is still nice, though it'd be kinda fucked if dorito pope gets to control both
>7 months until TGA
They're likely trying to save face with investors/shareholders/advertisers, but it's plain as day that E3 is running on fumes. As if it wasn't clear beforehand, the writing was on the wall when they used COVID as their excuse in January to initially downsize to a digital-only show for 2022 (an excuse so blatantly bullshit that game journos actually called them on it), despite COVID hysteria already being on the way out in January. And said hysteria being outright well over in most of the world when they announced the full-on cancellation of E3 2022 by March 31st.
I hated squilliam posting so fucking much, so this news brought me joy
You want to sell shit in the fall you hype it before the summer.
I was looking for you
>There will never be a another squilliuam this time where spamton is going to be included
>The first one in years I didn't participate in ended up being the final one
FUCK
>last one was the one where I did scratch grounder and coconuts
atleast I went out on a good note
Fuck it, Lets do one this year even if E3 is non existent at this point, Even if without E3 squillium would have not existed in the first place, At this point the entire vidya industry is gone now, E3 is cancelled, The summer game show is going to suck donkey cock, And its about time we start using squillium to represent the soulful days for vidya each summer in june we are going to start making squilliums not for the sake of some failing game conference but for the sake of what vidya was and what vidya should be in the first place.
>the E3 I finally remembered to participate in the Squilliam collab was the last one
bittersweet
I could do one for the sake of drawing practice
>Chaddow the Kinohog
Stay here
For example look at the last E3 squilliaum, Notice how soulful it is how much people had put effort into something yet this years E3 went to absolute shit, At this point its not E3 that mattered its the soul of the whole thing that mattered god damnit, and even if we don't have E3 we still have the game awards to shit on, So Its about time for squilliuam to be more than just E3 to be what really Yea Forums is about because at this point I doubt E3 is ever going to see the light of the day the companies are just going to casually make their own streams or something or just upload their trailers quickly out of the sudden with the blandest hype possible.
Sure but best part is your art style didn't matter even if your art was a crappy mspaint its still soul
based ryuko poster
>The first and last Squilliam collage I've participated in
Wack
more like bittersweet victory, you know what i mean
bad idea, there was a 2020 one despite the lack of an e3 and it was a very poor turnout relatively
kino
>tfw a thread like this could never happen on nu-Yea Forums because it would immediately be derailed by shitposting
Better off waiting for Geoff Keighley's show details to be announced before Squlliamposting. It's rumored Dorito Pope has Nintendo, Ubisoft, Devolver, Square-Enix and Microsoft/Bethesda on board to run the same week timeframe like last year (Just no E3 Branding)
mine from last year
Now that E3 is no more
>choose your fighter
You're retarded if you think those posts were consecutive.
It's all just one person who preclipped those screenshots ahead of time. Storytime Yea Forums was fun.
>i've had the exact opposite problem, it's harder to plan to watch this shit with friends when it's an hour here and there, much easier to just take a day off and watch a bunch of conferences in one go
I thought I was the only one
>join party chat with friends
>we watch the conferences together
>VGA also
max comfy we got hyped over the smallest shit
now I watch alone.
LowTierGod
Well shit might be foreshadowing in that case since last year's squilliuam was full of geoff
For me, it's Daggett Doofus Beaver
for me it's soprano and pepper ann
>not making x days until E3 gets cancelled again threads
come on
Bender Bending Rodriguez
It's gotta be The Noid
glad to have been there :')
