Want to do another playthrough of Ds3 after Elden Ring
Its like 5 minutes long
You forgot the Catacombs of Carthus and Smouldering Lake, the worst areas in the game, straight after. Plus to be completely honest, Irithyll and Anor Londo are both mediocre, and Irithyll Dungeon is total fucking AIDS
This is true. Irithyll as a whole was way too linear. It needed some support beam platforming like cathedral of the deep.
you can easily rush to the boss through all of those in a couple of minutes
>Smouldering Lake
seconds in this case
did you fuckers even play the other two games?
>dude just skip the half of the game and just run to the bosses
thanks again for ruining the series 3tards
>>want to do another playthrough of Ds3 after Elden Ring
>>remember 5 minute long zone with evil bad enemies
You'll make it user
>Kind of want to try DS3
>Remember the enemies spaz out and hyperarmor through all your moves like their from another action game
>Interrupt your attacks even after staggered because everything hits and recovers faster than you.
>Will track 270 degrees during all their combos
And everything staggers you.
I remember how much I fucking hated the swamp areas in my first run, but in all my ng+ I just dagger quickstep through the swamps or new characters I grab the like three things that are actually important there iirc there's one bone shard by a bridge, flask shard surrounded by slugs and coal past the darkwraith, and I guess the bandanna, I like the bandanna, looks cool and possibly one of if not the lightest head armor things so you can use that equip load elsewhere
that area only sucks ass when you're there for the first time and don't know where you actually need to go or if there's some sweet loot tucked away in some corner you didn't explore
yea i fucking hate ds3's base game. Still haven't gotten a single character through a replay. It's so fucking dull.
best in the series after 1
more like
>remember that stretch from the ashen graveyard to the kiln
Back to ds2
DaS3 is literally That Part: The Game
No that would be ds1
I'd say that would be DS2 with the 4 (four) fucking poison areas and Shrine of Ammana
but the fact that there's no consensus on this is what's great about Dark Souls amirite ;)
Irithyll Dungeon was like the bargain bin Latria.
Shrine of Amana is brilliant. It's the adventurer's thinking mans level. The tension, the danger, the suspense, tactics, and creativity is all there. When I play DS3 im just bored because it doesn't have any of that. It's all just rolling around and spamming R1. Even the swamps don't do much they just kind of slow you down.
>stack like 3 lifegems
>facetank all of it
>????
>another successful ng+ loop (actually shrine goes ez mode at like +3 iirc)
no it wouldn't because ds1 is the easiest game to do an SL1 run in. The boss AI isn't very good
exactly why DS3 is so hard to replay even more than DS2. It has way too many THAT LEVEL in it
its shit.
I'm playing it currently. From road of sacrifice through through Amor Londo are just awful. I played it a couple of times in the past but never commit to finishing it. I really don't think I will. It's honestly just fucking shit and I spent hundreds of hours on Demon's, Dark and Bloodborne.
Yeah but fuck those tracking ranged attacks
>Catacombs of Carthus
>Bad
Smoldering Lake is dogshit though I agree
Is it the Ghrus? I usually skip the swamp items in ng+
I've played ds2 a lot and I can't think of 4 poison areas. What are you referring to?
Anyway I like the way poison is done in ds2, it's "areas with poison hazards" not "this area is all poison". Earthen peak has short runs through poison for exploration/loot that are avoidable. Gutter/Black Gulch reward careful exploration so you don't get spit on.
Shrine of amana is so exaggerated, it's really not a bad area. You have plenty of cover to pull enemies and the enemies are very weak individually. And by that point in the game you've got a ton of flasks and, if you're using lifegems, plenty of lifegems to heal chip damage. It was only a frustrating area when enemies could aggro before their models even physically appeared, but that hasn't been an issue for 7 years.
>want to play ds3
>25fps on max settings
>okay…
>turn it all to medium
>zero changes
>turn shadows off and everything to low
>still 25fps
The worst optimized ps4 game from ever ported over.
Sekiro runs 60fps ultra on my same system that 25fps on ds3 btw before anyone says my hardware.
>Go through Shrine of Amana
>wooow so pretty
>oh wait I just have to stare at the ground the whole time
epic
>and Irithyll Dungeon is total fucking AIDS
BRANDED.COM
Shrine of Amana is really fair. They could have given the spellcasters lightspeed laser gatling guns like they did ER enemies.
Irithyll Dungeon was based for this reason. It needed to be even gayer IMO
You're a fucking retard lmao
Well yeah he owns a ps4
How the fuck? I could run ds3 on my 2015 laptop 1080p high
I'm replaying ds3 now as well. So far beat the first 3 bosses and I'm shocked with how much easier they were compared to the first 3 bosses in er.
A part of it I'm sure is because ER expects you to level and explore more, but even so the ds3 bosses are so much slower and easier to dodge.
not to mention the fact that they give you a ring with enough mage def to halfway facetank it literally 5 seconds before you get there lmao. Honestly, if I die in shrine it's probably cause I fucked around and got gangbanged by that one trio of hammer dudes
Catacombs of Carthus are cool tho, I used to not like them until I replayed DS3 and took things slower. Turns out it was my frustration at the Farron Swamp tainting my opinion
At least the Abyss Watchers are cool
>Catacombs of Carthus
Kino
>and Smouldering Lake
Bad
>Irithyll
First part is bad, most of it is really good
>and Anor Londo
Decent boss room with nice miniboss too
Would have been great if we had the hallways and staircase too
>and Irithyll Dungeon is total fucking AIDS
That's just the Irithyll jailers doing their job.
It anything, it needed an actual proper sewer section passing through the entrance
Replayed Bloodborne after ER and its def noticeable. I don't think I died to any boss more than 4 times (except that cunt Laurence). Really hit me on Vicar Amelia
You may have some dumpy hardware from the sweet spot for that game (aka ps4 like specs, makes sense for your laptop)
I have a very try hard gtx that uses 500% more power than equivalent modern cards(and benchmarks higher frames on all games) and a powerful I7 that dark souls 3 refuses to use.
Sekiro I get 60fps on ultra, again while ds3 struggles to hold 25-30 even on low. Computer does not make excessive heat when playing ds3, the game just can’t properly utilize my overpowered hardware. Something to do with the game being a ps4 game idk.
So what's everyone's favorite area of DS2?
I think for me it's still Eleum Loyce, but a close second is the Gutter. I absolutely love the torch mechanics, the exploration is fantastic. It's a cool area with a ton of secrets and very fair mechanics. And I love that in Scholar they added in a secret NPC invader that wakes up and attacks you if you light all the scones in the area.
>Remember the enemies spaz out and hyperarmor through all your moves like their from another action game
>Interrupt your attacks even after staggered because everything hits and recovers faster than you.
>Will track 270 degrees during all their combos
So just it's just like ER
Looking at you stars of ruin
you can run nonstop from road to swamp
the annoying part is having to complete the whole cathedral in order to get the doll and having to jump down to get to patches/respec
It's easy to do an SL1 run because it's the only game where the SL1 class isn't fucking terrible.
Cathedral of the Deep is kino tho
i've done it too many times and i dont like having to go around up and down and take the elevators and kill the giants
deacons is either a total joke (sweep weapon) or frustrating as hell (thrust weapon)
The Ancient Forest, specifically The Pursuer's Arena.
>be me, slightly retarded
>chillin out front of The Pursuer's fog for a second
>read a note
>visions of a giant
>look at the head
>feel fucking stupid because it took me this long to realize where I am
>get to Giant Lord
>suddenly I understand why The Last Giant is so angry at the player
Fucking KINO KINO KINO KINOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Shrine of Amana is the brainlet filter but god forbid a game actually challenge the player with obstacles they cannot ignorantly rush past
why DS3 love to fill the floor with shit? what a trash mechanic specially with the mobs totally ignoring it.
>Remember the enemies spaz out and hyperarmor through all your moves like their from another action game
What the hell are you talking about. Ds3 is the easiest because enemies can be interrumped a lot. The only exceptions would be the knights from the cathedral but I'm pretty sure as long as you have strike damage you will stagger everything
It's the main reason why the executioner greatsword is so good in this game
>level is tedious to play but not particularly hard
>BRAINLET FILTER BRAINLET FILTER
Every time.
I was told this for a fucking shit teleport puzzle that had no actual difficulty to it just tedium and I wanted to strangle the guy
i like the area with the pirates for the same reason, messing around with the torch is fun.
No man's wharf, yea, also a fantastic area. Plus you meet GAVLAN there.
seethe more, Eridanus is a joke
>>level is tedious to play
Farron Keep lasts 5 minutes
Road of Sacrifice 3
Irithyll Dungein 8 maybe?
You just get butthurt at the dangerous mobs
tf you get within half a level of Gavlan and you hear the S I P
before ER i thought the jannies were one of the worst mobs ever made
>get the nototion to think of the concept of replaying [fromsoft game]
>remember 99% of the game
back to an actual good game
>you can easily rush to the boss through all of those in a couple of minutes
That's part of the problem. No matter how much you fucking faggots insist, Dark Souls isn't a boss simulator and DaS3 is at its worst when it acts as a glorified boss rush.
I don't care how how good it looks or how good a boss Pontiff is, Irythill is a fucking shit area that manages to be even more of a corridor than Anor Londo was in DaS1. Conversely, the Cathedral of the Deep is a top 5 soulsborne area even though the Deacons aren't some epic 1v1 boss fight.
Bosses obviously have a place in these games but they're not what it's all about. Even Sekiro, which leans even more on the boss rush aspect due to the combat, has interesting areas to explore.
>typical mad cuz bad response
no. mad cuz level bad. and the level after that. and the level after that. and the level after that. you hit farron keep and it's just a fucking boss rush
DS3 being so unfun to play sucks because it has the best lore since DS1. You can say it's just a retreat of DS1's lore but it actually enriches it and demystifies some of the elements that weren't touched on in the first game. The Nameless King being Gwyn's banished son is so fucking cool, as is the reveal at the end of the Ashes DLC that Painted Worlds represent completely separate realities and can be created repeatedly. It took the foundation of DS1's lore and built upon it.
Unfortunately the gameplay is shit.
