They won't seriously kill her off again will they?

They won't seriously kill her off again will they?

>don't kill her, SE is a pandering retard and doesn't understood the purpose of her character
>does kill her, SE just wasted a whole new storyline in an attempt to red herring her death
either way it'll be retarded, fuck FF7R

>wasted
It is not wasted

Would you rather have her killed off, or paired off with the freshly revived Zack?

Paired with Zack, for the love of god i simply adore these two.

It doesn't matter either way, I will love it no matter what happens.
Zack being alive or dead makes no difference to the story. Either way the story is great.

Aerith won't die in the remake Cloud Will

In a twist of events they end up killing Tifa instead.

Attached: 1633576521225.gif (360x270, 1.63M)

It will be tifa this time

>Zack being alive or dead makes no difference to the story
Except you know that its the singular event that TRIGGER FF7 HAPPENING!

If Zack never died then Cloud would have remained in his mako poisoned state, he wouldn't have taken his identity, he wouldn't have gone on the bombing run, he wouldn't have met Aerith, ect, ect, ect Aerith would never have gone to the hidden city to die at the hands of Sephiroth and trigger Holy thus saving the world

It's gonna be slow mo to shitty opera and everyone is gonna running toward her and Sephiroth will just be all like "lol I'm evil for killing a whore, sigma male grindset" and everyone is just going to ask "hurr durr phoenix down?" again and yes. They are.

You need to get into theorycrafting youtube. Stop caring about the story being "good" or "bad" and watch people talk about the lore for hours and hours and hours.
Soon you won't actually care what is happening in the plot anymore and all that matters is what it adds to the lore.

For example Nero showing up in Remake is not good for the story, but it IS good for the lore and the theories.
Once you're a fan of FF7 theorycrafting literally everything that happens in the story, no matter what, is good - because it expands the lore. You can apply this to all the FF games and suddenly "bad writing" or "plotholes" simply disappear.

She will die but it will be a sacrifice during the grand finale of the last game instead of partway through the story. She clearly knows she needs to die at some point to help trigger Holy but I think OG Sephiroth is grooming Cloud to know what will happen in the city ahead of time and and he will stop Remake Sephiroth from impaling her.

If nothing else you have to admire remake's story for reintroducing uncertainty again. Now people are asking questions like "can it be salvaged at all, or will they make even more dreadful decisions?"
Instead of a 1:1 retelling where we'd all know where it's going, now we can as "just how bad will it get?" and I think that's really admirable.

Tell em, jimbo. Those pesky fanboys have it coming

>Instead of a 1:1 retelling where we'd all know where it's going, now we can as "just how bad will it get?"
I realized this when I played the Yuffie DLC and fucking Deepground, Nero, and Weiss showed up. Makes me wonder when your pic related will show up too. Its not just FF7 on the table here but Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, Advent Children and the Mangas all being thrown together in some rancid stew I don't know if I want to partake in

Watch them kill Tifa instead LULZ

They’re gonna kill Cloud and make Zack the new protagonist

That would be immensely based

She will die, but they will just come up with a way of reviving her in a new "true" ending.

No matter what happens I will like it and get mad at people who don't

what's wrong with being a fanboy?

>Has to die in order to save the planet
>Cloud will accept this
>Zack will try to save her
>Cloud vs Zack while Jenova/Seph laughs in the background

They will, but only after a Back to the Future 2 style bad timeline where Aerith's Prayer doesn't reach the Lifestream quickly enough, dooming the world. The sequence ends with Aerith herself telling Cloud he has to let her go for the sake of the world. The player is able to act and block Sephiroth's blade, but in order to progress, they must stay still. Otherwise you have to repeat the bad future sequence.

hearty kek

thank you jimbo for your service

She dodges at the last second and curb stomps Sephiroth

Have them both die peaceful deaths in each other's arms.

She's only as famous as she is for dying in the middle of a game unexpectedly. To keep her alive would simply prove that Remake is nothing more than revisionist fanfiction tier garbage. But that hackjob Nomura kept Zack alive so anything goes with this dumpster fire.

I had a slight fear the first time I played FF7 back in the day. I got the names of Tifa and Aerith mixed up and I was like "wtf??!? she might be the only team member I actually LIKE" I padded out my play before going to the place she was going down. Then Aerith gets penetrated by Cloud's Bishi bf.... and I was like "oh... well that's just fine."

>remake FF7
>Make an incredibly specific sequence of actions you need to do to save aerith, starting with arbitrary decisions and stats in the first game
>Wait

At this point, I'll accept this cringe.

This could have been an awesome game without the meta nonsense in it.

How can I get immersed in a game or a story when it tells me it's trying to be different than its source material every 30 seconds? I just don't understand how this happened. From the very beginning, when you hear the "sephiroth music" at the beginning, it feels like something is wrong, like I'm watching a fan project. I keep expecting Sonic the Hedgehog to pop out of one of the Whispers.

PLEASE. She fucking sucks.

The story in Remake will most likely lead up to something involving Aeris and Zack needing to die to fix the timeline they fucked up in the first game.

They probably will but the very last part will allow you to bring her back

ff7 remake not really being a remake and showing signs that it's going to start going in a different direction is unfortunate because the story in the original was really poorly told and it could use a real remake

You have to think like Square-Enix, not Squaresoft.

>Squaresoft
Killed Aeris, who they were right to call Aeris because it sounds better, but justifies the tragedy by making it necessary to the plot and development of the characters.

Square-Enix
Will kill Aerith, but NO, the Whispers rewind time as soon as the mourning is over. In fact, she swims back up, subverting the tragedy and making it a comedy! Didn't see that coming, did you? See, it's a story about hope!

This is actually how writers think now.

Gotta agree. In the original you were faced with an entire world to explore after Midgar, this time the possibilities are endless.
Doesn't mean I agree with everything they're doing with the remake, though.

She'll die to preserve the iconic scene but then also be brought back to life later for hollow fanservice and sad shipper faggot pandering

It's one of gaming's most historic and iconic scenes.

I watched it last night on my current run through of FF7. They're not going to change that.

Hopefully you ungrateful fucks never get anything.

this is what they've done with every single other character "death" so you're probably right

Aerith and Tifa die. Zack and Cloud become gay lovers.
you read it here first, folks.

The entire Remake exists to change that. Don't delude yourself. It will be changed, and they'll make it "better" by subverting your expectations. Telling you, Cloud "buries" her in the water and she swims back up. Zack, trying to catch up with her, meets her there at the city of the ancients, or he sees "Cloud kill her."

She will be there as a ghost as Cloud and Tifa have sex under the Highwind. She will be cheering for them both.

They'll kill Tifa this time. FF7R even hinted it

Haven't played the Yuffie DLC yet, anything interesting I should know about?

>Kill the character for whom you spent time developing unique gameplay.

Hahahah, no, not how game designers think. You're thinking like a Disney writer, not a game designer. They'll kill a character who's gameplay is irrelevant or replaceable, IE Cloud with Zack.

Honestly, it will be really sad if they revive Aerith. Even if they make it like a Chrono Trigger moment, it's still not going to be effective since her death has meaning within that story to begin with. But I guess changing the story means you get to do whatever you want now and can change the meaning behind that death. I wasn't really a fan of FF7, but it just makes me sad to think of someone fucking with a story that means so much to me with a remake.

Based

They are gonna kill Tifa or no one.

>I wasn't really a fan of FF7, but it just makes me sad to think of someone fucking with a story that means so much to me with a remake.

Wut.

The whole point of Aerith now is that she has some vague memories of the original FF7 timeline. She may even know about her death.
Whether she wants to move forward with that death to keep the timeline intact or to survive and alter the timeline remains to be seen.

She will get saved due to some bullshit but then at the very end of the game, the timeline will be all fucked up (like sephiroth will actually destroy the world or something) and she will have to sacrifice herself to restore the timeline and save the world. So she will die anyway. Screenshot this post

Ooooh shit, Square Enix, you got us! What a great story!

Someone just remove the whispers and re-edit the sequences to make this an actual remake, please?

Attached: 1649092958262.png (351x319, 107.59K)

So, basically just swallow and deep throath every shit Kitase and Nomura throws you. Yeah, nah, good luck with that, tho.

Hopefully never

I hope not

I really wish she painted her toenails for this photoshoot. Was almost perfect.

Every time someone tries to describe a "bad" outcome in the story I think "that sounds great"

The only possible bad outcome is Tifa being killed off and that will never happen

Do you know that people buy games even if the story is trash?
Ive played more games than you. Ive played thousands of games but shitty stories and ill still call them good because i care about more aspects than just story. After all, whispers aside, the game was fine.
If sephiroth time travels for any reason but lifestream, or tifa dies, or i dont know, squall appears and fights with cloud, then yeah ill call the story shit. But dont ask me to not buy it because theres much more to a game than just story. Ill join you on this threads calling the story shit or whatever the fuck you want, but if you want me to call the game bad despite the fact that i enjoyed it, then maybe get off the internet, people here are not here to please you.

No cap, if Cloud got a sex change he’d be the prettiest girl in the game

It's a different timeline. I don't understand why you guys are so pissed about the changes. We've known this since its announcement.
