Ye
The game is very good overall but the ending was really bad and left me feeling bitter about it
Its excellent. Play it on hard from the start, the game suffers a lot from how easy it is to become overpowered and the only way to prolong that for a bit is to just start with the harder difficulty levels.
And its not really that much harder, you will struggle at the start probably at any difficulty level before you get used to how it plays.
Yes, but it has nothing to do with Old Prey.
the start is great but the end kind of falls off
its alot of fun. however it needs some extra weapons I hear moon crash is amazing but ive yet to play it
Yeah, just don't be afraid to invest in the Typhon abilities. The game will make you think you're falling into the dark side or some shit but it really doesn't matter.
and thats a good thing
The ending is the best part.
Yes, but not as good as old prey
Was kinda disapointing. Thought i unlock the good ending, but all endings are literally the same.
The abilitys are kinda bad compared to the standart abilitys anyway
best game of this type
who gives a fuck about stories in arkane games
yes
I dont care about the story, i jut think it was disapointing to get no sideeffect when the game acted like there would be if i go typhonstuff.
>Technical facilitys will attack you
>They attack you later anyway even if you dont
No way. Typhon abillities are amazing, Psychoshock in particular is the most outrageously overpowered attack in the game, but you have practical shit like mimic and the super blink, being able to undue the telepath mind control on humans, fun goofy shit like making spring traps and necromancy. Human only is boring
0/10 no kicking
i dont think kicking black blobs would be adviceable
Yes
2nd best imsim after deus ex
It's great fun
It's excellent. Play it on Hard mode unless you want to be nuking everything halfway through it.
based
absolute fucking garbage
Prey 2 died for this shitheap
If you honestly believed Prey 2 was a real game you are beyond help
>50 shit ways to play the game instead of 1 good one
No. It falls for "muh agency" meme. You'll figure out one build out of 50 and repeat it over and over and over again.
>projecting his autism onto everybody else
comes with the condition i guess
???
And what build is that? What is the one tactic you repeat for everything?
filtered. unless you mean the endlessly respawning fucking robots yeah that fucking blew
Any - retard, learn to read.
there's a fucking gameplay demo of it you absolute retard
Low functioning autism must be rough huh
>uses jump attack repeatedly, really chains it
>only kicks twice the entire video
It’s one of the greatest games ever made.
Just like how there was a pre release gameplay demo of watch dogs that was 100% true
Forgot to tag
Prey 2 didn't die for this, Prey 2 died because Bethesda was playing hardball with the studio and basically squeezed them to death by refusing to give or accept milestones. See the end of the Civvie video on the original Prey. Prey 2 was allegedly like 7-80% done, but Bethesda acquired the property and wanted more. Never forget Zenimax are the silent EA.
Anyway after Prey 2's developers refused to buckle and the company folded & the people walked, Bethesda forced the Prey brand onto this completely unrelated game because corporate gonna corporate
I thought so too but then I replayed ss2 - prey is good but it's notably dumbed down from its most obvious influence
It's got some rough edges but overall it's a solid 9/10 that makes you feel like you can tackle any obstacle in any way without being as heavyhanded about it as Dishonored's 'here's the path if you take possession, here's the path if you take teleporting'.
It suffers a bit from samey scenery and a lack of weapons but I enjoyed it a lot. Some of the mini storylines are really great if you care about that kind of thing too and even if the world is kind of samey it still feels real which in my opinion has always been one of Arkane's strongest points
In what way?
I don't know about that. In prey you have a lot more movement options available to you and you can use those options to avoid enemies if you wanted. Turrets can be hacked and upgraded and placed in chokepoints where you want. Doors can be barricaded with heavy items to slow down enemies, and the typhon powers feel more useful in combat as well as for utility than psi powers in system shock 2. Certain aspects for sure feel simplified, but the game makes up for this by providing the player with more options and tools than system shock 2 gives the player. Overall, it feels like it took the best aspects from deus ex and system shock 2 which works amazingly well together. Different strokes though I guess
ty user I knew the story but this explains it better, juussst gonna save
that being said i liked nu-Prey
excellent game of its kind and a personal favorite of 2017, if you enjoy games with similar design to system shock and deus ex you will like it
I curious to know which specific elements think were dumbed down in prey compared SS2
holy shit, it's literally better than ss2
YOU WIRED ME THE FUCK AWAKE AND HIT ME WITH A HAND OF BROKEN GODDAMN NAILS
No it didn't you retarded nigger. Prey 2017 had nothing to do with the "original" Prey IP at all, they just felt like slapping a familiar name to a completely different game.
Hang thyself zoomer, posthaste
depends what you like in the game
Horror elements, story and the antagonist from SS2 absolutely can not be beat
It's definitely more casual.
>Enemies don't respawn in actively exploring areas
>Can print ammo
>Lack of enemy type variations (Like Mutants and Robot) and lack of ammo types
>the antagonist
oh you mean the antagonist who doesn't actually appear till the end of the game
the antagonist that only really gets shown or characterized in the first game
the antagonist whose powers and motivations make no sense
the antagonist who became a meme because SS1 and SS2 blended together in peoples memories creating an experience and a SHODAN that never actually existed
That antagonist?
The atmosphere and writing are definitely on point though, i'm not shitting on SS2.. But SHODAN has become a meme she never was.
Wouldn't the Many be the primary Antagonist in 2?
You can literally print ammo from fabricators in system shock 1 as well? In fact you can even hack the machines to decrease the price even more. Not enough robot enemies though, but for that reason I don't see why there has to be different ammo types if you are just fighting goo monsters
What in the fuck are you talking about?
fuck off retard, you probably never played ss1
yeah, I agree, that's much better than prey, but gameplay is another story. although, the horror elements in ss quickly fade away
Yeah, shodan has more of a secondary role in the game
I meant SS2
Yeah the gameplay in prey is absolutely king and the reason it's a personal favorite
>You can literally print ammo from fabricators in system shock 1 as well?
No.
You can buy ammo in Shock 2, but cash is more of a finite resource in 2 than the crafting materials in Prey.
With the right set up. you can be fully geared up in crafting materials for ammo and make it incredibly easy to heal.
In Prey, it's very easy to full on items
nostalgia is one hell of a drug
Pretty fucking good. I still remember tons of memorable moments despite playing it once a year ago.
Best game of the last generation alongside Hitman.
>people still going on about muh old prey in these threads
I thought it was common knowledge the name was forced on by bethesda; even the game files contain the game's original name
>fuck off retard, you probably never played ss1
Finished it before you were even born. Go find that noose.
agree, Deus Ex MD is also up there, although it's a very polarizing game
youtube.com
Alongside Male Morgan and Alex Yu, this game has some tasty voice acting
I still hate the fucking guy for using a screwdriver.
And yeah, I loved MD, but the fact that it was 1/3 of a game killed for me.
HR is still better, I think.
