How did such an IQ filter game become so popular and mainstream, when low IQs keep getting filtered by it and only high IQs can fully appreciate it?

The average post-2016 Yea Forums user in fact is just as dumb as twitter users, if not more
Explained in game by the character Morgott.
it's a low IQ game
>cheesing bosses with summons and comet azur
>high IQ
pick one
ER is specifically aimed at midwits who like "prepare to le die" experience
> first mistake releasing DS1 on PC
> LE PREPARE UR ANUS EDITION LOLOLOL
> mistake 2: DS goes full PLEBBIT mode
> mistake 3: DS2 contrarians
> mistake 4: PLEBBIT hyping ER for years
> BOOM: even your granny knows fromsoft now
If you feel at home on Yea Forums as it is, you might be low IQ yourself.
If you had high IQ you'd notice how badly the game is designed. And no I don't mean the bosses those are fine for the most part.
I love Yea Forums as it is :3
>story is literally super mario tier
>youre a tarnished
>you try to become an elden lord for some reason
>you need to beat the bad guys in order to achieve that goal
>meanwhile, bosses and npcs blabber a bunch of random nonsense at you in a monotone voice that nobody with a triple digit iq would give two fucks about
>apparently there's more to the story but you have to find it yourself by reading every item description
at that point i just stop giving a shit and go read a book, why did they hire george r.r. martin whose job is to write stories, when there isnt even any story in the game
as the player it shouldnt be my job to jump through flaming hoops just to find my own story when the game fails to deliver it to the player in a comprehensible way
the game just failed in the writing department
>How did such an IQ filter game become so popular and mainstream
You said it yourself, it's a low IQ game.
thank you for your midwit opinion on design that no one cares about
>it shouldnt be my job to play the game, i want everything spoonfed by cutscenes instead
hello low iq retard
I already beat the game, but if they want me to appreciate the story they should make it easy to follow and present it to the player in a comprehensible way, otherwise I just won't care and treat it like Megaman.
Bold words from a retard who watches 20 minute lore videogames on random ass NPCs
High IQs play Bloodborne. Elden Ring is not so good. Quantity over quality are never good and Elden ring is that proof.
>High IQs play Nioh
ftfy
low iqs can run mage build with summons and overlevelling from mohgs cliff area
>getting batied into blindly consooming the same game on a yearly basis is considered high iq now
To be fair only das, bb, and er are enjoyable to play and those play little alike.
Souls has been normie-tier since prepare to die. You may as well be playing CoD
ER is the least enjoyable out of them, because instead of getting a focussed, replayable experience with interesting setpieces and memorable bosses, you are now expected to grind through a huge soulless open sandbox full of padding and recycled content to get to the good parts.
You know that you don't HAVE to buy the games, right?
Yes elden ring *pulls up fextralife pages on npcs* is such a great *watches youtuber's read item descriptions for you* story for high IQs *skims through tv tropes page on ER* such as ourselves
Dumbass fucking idiot. Kill yourself.
you did not actually learn anything about the story and everything you "learned" is from other people spoonfeeding you.
Excellent rebuttal senior high iq. *ding ding* Hello mimic tear we must smart our way through every boss.
I believe OP would be atop the peak of what is commonly known as Mount Stupid.
Fromdrone utterly destroyed
>High IQs play redditborne
lmao
In my mind you bitches are threelittle bratty princess lolis trying to get my attention by acting like retarded contrarians. Well, guess what? My dick is rock-hard and your cunnies need some filling. Open wide! >:)
Yes I know, that's why I pirated them all.
Thanks for paying for my copy, Frompigs.
Off-topic but Fortissax's theme is underrated as fuck. Been listening to this on repeat for the last 2 hours. youtube.com
bear I say... ba$ed?
>IQ
Congratulations on winning a test that finally proves you were smart all along
>open world games
>high IQ filter
You are a brain damaged retard.
They included ash spirit summon no you can cheese all the terribly balanced encounter and get the feel you accomplished something.
no your
Kill yourself fatty.
user #594677118 utterly BTFO
Your are incredibly retarded. Get off my board.
No.
>he know reddit
>I don't
Lel
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Elden Ring
>>open world games
>>high IQ filter
Unironically, yes. The open world in ER is the filter. Retards will just follow the yellow arrows instead of embracing non linear exploration, then get upset they're underleveled for Margit and keep bashing their heads at a wall.
90 IQ is not high.
Dark 'souls' is just a depressing soulless LOTR for trannies and autists. Elden Ring was a success in adding GOT normies to their sales.
no you're
>not bringing a gun to a fist fight
Why do you want to lose, user?
honestly though, those arrows might fool Dark Souls players too, since DaS difficulty balance is optionals > mandatories. You're supposed to fight the main bosses and if you beat them you know you might have a chance against the optionals. In ER it's the other way around. You're supposed to explore, fight optionals and power up, so that you're ready to face the main bosses, which are harder than the optionals.
I've never understood the mentality of making side content harder anyway. It just feels like condescending pandering, that you're making the main campaign essentially easier than it should be just "so that everyone can finish the game".
you can lower the iq requirements by using strength faith and ashes
>Unironically, yes
Yes, but not in the way you mean it.
Open world games filter high IQ people, because they can't deal with the drudgery that is open world.
It's a midwit game.
It has a million and one options if you find yourself getting slowed down and the game encourages you to use all of it.
The troons went too hardcore with their only r1 spam playstyle so people were ready to try anything else to not be lumped in with them.
>not dex and int
Good thing this game isn't called Elden Souls or that might be a thing that could happen. As is you'd be stupid to go into Elden Ring like it was a Souls game.
It would be like trying to dodgeroll everything in Sekiro or Bloodborne.
I agree. I actually went to Sekiro without the assumption that I can just dodge everything because I had played the Jedi Sekiro ripoff game before it. I got into actual Sekiro very easily as a result.
In Elden Ring I went in with the basic assumption that side content is harder than main content, which is wrong. However, I pursued side content because of the assumption that the rewards must be greater in harder optional areas. The rewards were meager and the difficulty was not there. When I finally did fight Margit I realized that I had done the correct thing all along and had made incorrect assumptions. I thought I was trying to go against the grain to power myself up using the application of skill but that's what the game wants you to do by default.
Yeah
Even casuals are getting tired of western shit.
