What do you niggas think about buying physical games
What do you niggas think about buying physical games
its based
I prefer it
i still buy physicals cause my internet is dogshit
and may as well resell them when done
And so are you
user phone call for you, it's from the based department
I haven't bought a physical game in 6 years. My entire game collection is a consolidation of over 120 PC games on Steam and about 45 Nintendo Switch games on a single sd card. Physical games are extremely archaic and it seems bizarre to me that anyone wants them in 2022.
Being a digital fag is ok being a buyfag is not. Pirate your games user
I will occasionally buy a collectors edition box of something I really love but otherwise I don’t need it. Partly because I’ve pirated so much it’s hard to care about having an attached object, part because my dad sold all my games when I went to college so I don’t care to rebuy a bunch of PS2 & genesis titles.
no i dont think i will.
Ok. Your loss
All digital but I don't buy many games anymore. Last disc I bought was arkham knight 2015.
>gen 8 games with no manuals
Zoomer thread
The way I prefer to buy them
No real point unless you're a console owner. All of mine were stolen, so I don't even buy physical copies for my Switch anymore. Besides, everything is free on the high seas.
>All of mine were stolen,
Stop living in the hood user
I buy them because buying digital is mentally no different than pirating to me. I do purchase physically unavailable indies if I like them enough though. Also it just feels really good to expand my vidya shelf, or rather shelves at this point.
It's getting increasingly shit for physical bros though, there's no denying that, with required downloads, day 0 patches etc.
I didn't have a choice, man. I was on vacation. The dude stole my Playstation, all my games, the gun in my closet, and yet somehow decided to leave my PC.
I like them but I don't like getting up to change discs
It's cool. A shame most games will need a day 1 patch because devs are utterly incompetent, which kind of defeats the purpose.
>he marathons different games in one sitting
I'm saying this as someone who hasn't seen the sun in a week:
Unironically touch grass.
I hope you're joking but if you're not holy shit. What happens when a gin gets stolen I'm assuming you have to tell the police so they don't think you're out there shooting people if the robber shoots someone?
I prefer it usually. If it can’t be helped at times(certain remasters are digital only) then I get digital. But 80% of my game library is physical yeah.
All my games are physical.
when i sold my switch, i also sold my nintendo account to the guy with all my games, and he just changed the email n info to his own.
fuck you nintendo i resold your digital games, felted
Ok this is based ngl
Yeah, you just have to notify your local PD. I don't know if any crimes committed with the weapon could be pinpointed back to you, but where I live you get fined if you DON'T report it stolen.
I like it just fine. It's what I did as a kid, until Steam became a thing.
Then again, I unironically used Windows Vista and thought it was okay for years, so take my experiences by a grain of salt.
.
How fat are you
Generally this why you have a safe to keep a gun in. Also why I don’t talk about owning guns ever. They’re one of the only things that becomes more valuable once stolen.
I was not that guy. Nah. I'm not poor, I actually want my games updated, I want the full functionality of Steam applied to my games. Being able to stream them, use any controller etc. Piracy just always has caveats, I'd rather get the actual full product. Plus redownloading all my games is faster through steam than piratebay. I just grew out of pirating games sometime in my mid 20s.
faggot
I pretty much only buy physical games, or I pirate games and burn them to discs. I also refuse to buy modern consoles because physical games are basically just a physical DRM key since you always need to download stuff that won't fit on a single disc.
Unless the game has online multiplayer that I'm dying to try, I'll just pirate it.
I used to think physical copies were pretty based, in any console, but I changed my mind. Physical copies are only based if you don't have to install the entire game to run it like on the ps4 or pc.
So basically: Physical copies of ps4, ps5, xbox one, series x, pc games and the like are cringe. All others are based.
At least older physical PC games had the entire games on the disc, so at least you can install the full game without needing an internet connection. Some PS4 and XB1 games are like that, too, but by the end of the generation most games required additional data downloads or day 1 patches to work properly.
I will give Nintendo credit, though, most Switch games are complete on cartridge. Only a handful of games require additional downloads.
Rate my small ps3 collection
>At least older physical PC games had the entire games on the disc, so at least you can install the full game without needing an internet connection
That's still cringe though( granted requiring internet connection is way worse but it's cringe nonetheless)
>PS3
Lmao
>Killer is Dead limited edition
>MGR
Fellow brother.
Not bad desu, I've been stocking up on PS3 and 360 games recently myself as a lot of pawn shops and thrift stores have them for dirt cheap.
I'd do more of it if Physical PC games were still a thing.
Still buy Switch games physically though.
Cringe because it's just shit that takes up a lot of space and makes you look like a giant faggot.
You can just GoG/pirate and save the files in hard drives. Saves space and you get literally the same thing, but better.
A lot of ps3 games actually have the game almost completely in the disc. Not all but a significant number. Ps3 discs are based the problem is stuff like ps4 or ps5, etc...
Why the japanese copy of DmC4? Other than that pretty good I have almost every game there physical as well, except siren and mirror's edge, including the same exact version of killer is dead. What's the game between Dead Space 2 and Dante's Inferno? It's the only one I can't read the title
Think of it as a hobby. People enjoy collecting some games because they liked them enough that they''ll keep a physical copy of it.
It's deadspace grandpa.
Idiot
Everyone who has at least a tiny bit of common sense and dignity left buys mostly physical.
The only games i buy digitally are those that aren’t available physically.
Also:
Fuck zoomers
Soul. Brings me back to the good old days.
>Also:
>Fuck zoomers
Ok I can't even lie guys this was based
Soul is a buzzword that I'm really getting tired of
Everything is a buzzword
I only buy physical if it's an old gen game and it has manual and other stuff. Like PS1, Snes, DS or PS2 games.Either that or some Collector Editions like the one for La Mulana.
For most modern games I don't think it's worth it.
But yes I love them.
Seems normal to buy physical. Especially when they shut down the older digital store front or a license expired for copyright music, etc...
If a game is not available physically, it doesn't exist.
No point for 8th and 9th gen.
I'm pretty sure only like 1 of those games is on gog
If digital games didn't have such stringent DRM and online check ins I would have gone all digital for my media along time ago. The only medium I would stick a physical copies out preference of is books. But I'm a stupid jackass that rarely reads.
Bump for physical chads
i never ever cared about owning collections or physical media, despite growing up with it. man o man has that bitten me in the ass. Midway made some of my alltime favorite games. Mortal Kombat ofc, but tons of other arcade hits i love i can no longer play because of license fuckery. really makes me miss my old super nintendo and the games i had for it. digital only is convenient right until something silly happens
Op is clearly a zoom zoom
Help Yea Forums I'm struggling to feed my family help me budget
I'm running out of storage space, so unless I get a good deal, or the game actually comes with something, I prefer digital.
I prefer it for consoles. just makes it easier to know whats where. pretty much all my PC stuff is digital though. the only physical game i have for that is Mechwarrior 4. I've decided to collect all the musou as a joke.
Add in the Tales games, Infamous 1 and 2, Drakengard 3, and a couple random imports that interest me like E.X Troopers and Macross 30 and this would look like my ideal PS3 collection. Good picks with little that I would consider filler
I've been stocking up on 360. I miss that age when tons of TV shows and movies had videogame adaptations so I look out for those. Ironic since I used to avoid licensed games like the plague since I knew most are shit.
