I've said it before and I'll say it again; Zero Suit Samus is not a big departure from her previous designs. And redesigns like this just prove my point. Despite people saying that Zero Suit "ruined" Samus, whenever redesigns are brought up they don't take inspiration from her previous designs (Fusion and Super). Instead redesign of her go against her previous designs, some even going so far as these. Now I don't mind this designs, they look cool in my opinion, but its just so stupid that they come up in conversation of how the canon Samus should look. Zero Suit Samus is closer to her Super and Fusion designs than most "redesigns" ever will be, and I'm tired of so many people proping up what amounts to fanfic OCs as a "return to form". This stuff reminds me of a comparison picture someone made of the original red-headed Samus looking down upon Zero Suit Samus like she's some bimbo; I think the picture had her saying something along the lines of "6'3 and 200 lbs of muscle? Where?". This is especially hilarious when pic related is the iteration of Samus doing this.
