Only around 3 years after PSO2 came out in Japan was it passably good and got better from there.
Otherwise it was the exact same shit scenario of running in circles as content until then.

The combat's a lot more fun, but there isn't as much to do at the moment - at least not in NGS, but base PSO2, has assloads to do. Something that I feel goes underrated for both games is the bosses also, generally they're really good and the older PSO's can't even begin to compete with them.

Not him, but as a Ranger, I absolutely detest NGS's gameplay and lament that the idea of this quest is appealing on its own, independent of what I feel about the gameplay. If only I could play this with PSO2 Ranger, that would make me happy. PSO2 Ranger is one of my favorite classes in vidya and I fell head over heels for it the moment I first tried out the game, but NGS Ranger does not make for a satisfying experience, regardless of whether I contextualize it as a "successor" or as its own new thing.

As other anons are saying, the game will be good in a few years and I'll probably play PSO2 again when that time comes. It definitely seems to be on the right path with that boss from the other month, but only the snowboarding looked half amusing to me in the trailer OP posted.
I just wish base PSO2 still got some love, so I could go back and fight True Profound Darkness or whatever in some UQs without having to keep an eye on announcements or be logged in 24/7, is an updated automatic schedule too much to ask for? Oh yeah the economy is fucked as well in there so I will never get any gear better than what I had.
Global was pretty fun, wish my friends had played it more.
