Regardless of what you think of the trilogy, it's painfully obvious Finn's whole existence was as a red herring to make you think he was the jedi character, to then reveal it was Rey, and Poe was supposed to die in the crash, but he proved popular enough his death was retconned almost mid-movie.
This is why neither had shit to do in the whole trilogy.

Pretty sure that Finn would have become some kind of bad-ass if not for the clusterfuck mishandling of the trilogy, largely due to the shitty second movie that threw away every plot hook that was set up in the first movie.

Kathleen Kennedy should be blacklisted from Disney due to how lazy they handled this franchise, it should have been a slam dunk. The first movie was actually decent, just very derivative, but it set the mood to be much more similar to the original trilogy than the prequels, and that's what it needed. Instead of sticking with that, they hired some retarded faggot to handle the second movie, and no one supervised him to see what the fuck he was up to. How they allowed this to happen, I will never know. They should have just thrown money at Abrams and had him make the whole trilogy instead of 2.5 movies (the .5 being the huge chunk of the third movie dedicated to trying to half-ass fix the mistakes of the second).
