Dragon's Dogma

Do I have to do Mercedes's stupid escort mission to have her be my beloved?

No retard just rape her

yes plus she's cute so it's worth it. not even a hard escort

no. just give her a couple dozen cloudwine and dont interfere with her fight against that one dude and you are golden.
also dont do the duchesses quest line because it almost guarantees her as the beloved.

No, just give her cloudwine like the raging alcoholic that she is and soon enough she'll be slobbering all over your dragon's dogma.

>really want mercedes waifu end
>do all of that
>still get MASTERWORKS ALL 6 TIMES
Every fucking time

I got the gay fisherman dude

The difficulty isn't the problem, the tedium is.
Alright I'll just get her shitfaced then

there's an item you can give people to give them -1000 affinity you know

It irritates me to read mongoloids complaining about a non-existent problem every time. You don't have to do any kind of escorting for anyone and at the same time you can complete all these kinds of quests

>read the quest location before accepting it
>go there with your party
>place a crystal
>return to the board and accept it
>quick travel to the crystal
>prophet

I've beaten Dragon's Dogma like 8 or 9 times and I've had
>Masterworks All Can't Go Wrong 6 or 7 times
>Selene once
>Fournival's loli bowl cut daughter once
I just can't do it

>also dont do the duchesses quest line because it almost guarantees her as the beloved.
Unless you just let her fucking die

You don't get that many portcrystals early on. The one you get people probably use for common locations, I used mine so I don't need to go through the 10,000 wolves of the witchwood ever again.

I always just do her escort mission before I have to open up the mines and do both quests simultaneously. The ogres will aggro her in the mine but you should be fine if you know what you're doing.

I'm pretty sure that all characters lose affinity after a while, so just pass a few weeks worth of game time then load up your preferred beloved with favored items, arisen's bond, etc, and go fight grigori.

I've never gotten to the beloved part yet but I wanna ask, isn't there an item that maxes out the favour of whoever you give it to? Shouldn't choosing your waifu be pretty easy with that?

Just hit him lol

Once you replay the game enough half the game world will have max affinity so the beloved ends up being the last person you talked to

the problem is that various personal quests also max out various characters' affinity, so it really comes down to who you did most recently because of affinity decay.

>spoiler
You can't go wrong!

I feel like there is always a certain time of year where there are daily dragons dogma threads. No matter how many you make DD2 will never be a thing. :_:

My brother and sister watched me beat the game a couple times and get him every time so they make fun of me every time I play it by quoting that dude

Affinity decays over time and Mercedes disappears from the game at some point so it's really fucking hard to get her.

this game is pretty tedious in the first place until you put the port crystals everywhere

Can't you just date IRL and leave video games out of your teenage shit?

youtube.com/watch?v=jAvq26K2v0c

escorts are expensive I'd rather stick to games

AAAA STOP DELETE THIS

>Can't you just date IRL
No

If you give it them right before whatever random point the game decides to pick your beloved that can work, sometimes.
There is also another arbitrary order it picks them from if you have multiple at the same affinity.

>waste your time with 3dpd
kys

just use effivium.
it's like 2.000 RC's.

Guys, I can't believe the dogma was literally the friends we made along the way

>be assassin
>great fun
>want to swap to fighter
>have to grind skills all over again
wat do?

Assassin is just cooler Fighter lmao

run around killing bulls and goblin with ring of perseverances equiped

How do we fix DD's issue of late game trivializing humanoid enemies?

Is there any important multi vocation passive skills worth grinding mage for or I can just go with sorcerer aka cooler mage?

get atunement from mage and sinew from fighters

Nice tits

You will retract that filename, Ser!

Give all vocations either block or roll by default, that they can later replace/augment with dodgeslash, dodge attacks,...

>and dont interfere with her fight against that one dude
She dies lmao

no she does not

Remove the attack/defence bloat

Only what little pride she has left dies.

Disagree.

Requiring different vocations to approach mitigation in different ways helps differentiate the classes. Just need to make these more prominent.

Example, give EVERY warrior skill a 'temerity' like effect by default. Warrior's are generally designed to deliberately trade hits to deal bigger damage. By allowing every warrior skill to effectively double as an active mitigation tool you open a lot more options beyond Exodus.

Casters could probably receive a temporary HP shield with each successful cast. Something like negating 1 or 2 'hits' entirely. On some encounters this might let them sit there and face 'tank' a slow hitting enemy. Other, probably most cases, casters will rather stand back and only lean on the damage shield from prior casts to help complete longer casts, but otherwise remain at range. Just an example - but I feel casters are already fine because the nature of lacking defensive options forces them to remain out of the action.

Honestly, Warrior is really the only outlier, and it isn't that bad off. Still one of my most favorite classes to play, even without Exodus.

Can I really not do the duchess quests without getting her? I want to do blighted manse.

you can do the duchess's quests, if you don't want that bitch or anyone you don't like as your beloved just give them some Liquid Effivium.
>In Dark Arisen, is sold by Barroch on Bitterblack Isle after completion of the quest Eyes of the Deep.
>Can be obtained by purification of Bitterblack Novelty Lv.1.
>Can be stolen from Greater Goblins and Goblin Shamans by using Master Thief.
Also
>If too many Liquid Effluviums are gifted, the victim will flee in terror from the Arisen as if mortally threatened.
