Yakuza games are all the same and pretty stand-alone with a "manly soap opera" plot thread running through all of them that "connects" kinda. Every game ends with a topless QTE fight on top of the Millennium skyscraper. I assume since it's missing from the list, you've played Yakuza 0. That's the best one by a mile and it still manages to be pretty overrated.

(Yakuza Dead Souls is garbage, fucking terrible shit. Take it off the list for your own good. You don't need to try it.)

I'm a guy who likes to test games first to see if they're fine, if you're saying that Zen Intergalactic Ninja sucks then we clearly operate on a different level
It's my list of games that I bought, it also has a portion with how much money I paid for a game, and lately I'm marking if I beat it or played it.
I like old games, NES is the one I'm most familiar with. I played Yoshi's story a little, but didn't exactly got into it. I'm kinda in the middle of Yakuza 2 but got filtered by mahjong minigame.

That would burn me out real quick, especially if the next game I had to play was a genre that I wasn't really in the mood for. Some short games can be fine, but if you have to play a 80 hour JRPG that you don't really want to play right now it's hard to stomach.

Nothing quite like that though. The player character is an amnesiac faceless guy in a robe that acts like the army's tactician. He doesn't participate in battles (he has a sprite though) and has no dialogue or supports but the characters talk to him in the cutscenes and you get ranked by how well you do various things. If you do well enough, you're featured in the ending as the main reason why the two main countries went to war with each other.

Honestly same, but that's why I like it. It forces me to evaluate if something is really worth the time. Do I want to actually play through this 80h slog? Probably not.

Oh, no, don't get me wrong. My copy is pirated, it's purely single player.

When I used to rent games for 3-5 days I always beat them within that time and moved to the next one. Now I can't beat a 30 hour game within a month.

I feel ya, sometimes starting a game is harder than actually playing it. I can binge it for 5-6 hours at a time, but booting it up is a completely different problem.
