I realized as a teenager that nobody gives a shit if you're good at video games. Like there's nothing wrong with being good at and/or enjoy playing difficult games. But remember nobody really cares and it won't improve your life in any meaningful way. Maybe other autists or little kids will be impressed but it's a leisure activity. It's main purpose is to entertain and not everyone finds being challenged as a form of entertainment. Also yeah some people here actually have careers and step outside the house everyday. So we don't have all day to sit at home and play fucking video games to "git gud".

what i meant is, on easy you get to breeze past everything so fast. that means you have less time to explore, learn the mechanics, appreciate the aesthetics, find new ways to beat enemies, mess around etc.
not to mention games levels are usually designed prioritizing harder difficulties. if you play on easy you're actually missing the content.

I’m 31 and I always play my games on the easiest difficulty.

My life is a mess and I work a dead-end job full of toxic colleagues and rude customers, so I really don’t want that level of stress and anger bleed over into my gaming time. And I am not ashamed of playing on Easy mode. I don’t know why there’s such a stigma towards people that do.
