These threads have become more about the personalities posting in them than the actual artwork itself. A third of these threads are filled with people bitching about botfag to the point of harassing artists if they end up drawing from the ever-expanding list of "forbidden botfag characters". This goes on and on all day in every single fucking thread.
Most of these artists that leave either move on to develop actual social media followings, have other stuff come up in their lives, or just get tired of seeing the same requests like said. I've seen threats that artists that draw for the bot run the risk of getting doxed, but the only sign of a dox that I've seen is namedropping the artist's pen name if they have one, and that sounds like a pretty shitty definition to me.
Go ahead and accuse me of being botfag since I know that's what's going to happen. It'll just prove the point that these threads exist to repeat the same shit forever
The worst part is that because of this, you don't really get random anons hopping in and suggesting funny board related stuff. The majority of what actually does get drawn in these threads can't even get posted on the fucking board its drawn for.
