dawn of war 2
Can confirm as valve mod
A retail copy of CS Source is what introduced me to Steam but I was heavy on UT04 before then.
the absolute state of this thread
nice
fucking hell i remember playing vs bots in ut04 so much
not bad good taste
lol tf2 became free a few months later
half-life anthology was the first thing i owned on my account but its not showing in the list since its a physical version, same for the orangebox.
wow that's embarrassing
$99 at the time
I want to go back. I bought Half-Life 2 GOTY Edition which had CS:S and HL:Source on disc before this.
Gmod was my first purchase on Steam, but I had purchased the Orange Box from Gamestop on December 27th with my Christmas money. My one buddy was obsessed with Gmod, and the other with HL2:DM. The latter guy got me into Audiosurf. I also have a distinct memory of convincing my grandmother to let me use her debit card to preorder Civ V, and she was nervous because she said she should never give out the security code on the back of the card. Needed CS:S for Gmod, of course.
HOLY FUCK YOU ARE ALL OLD AS FUCK
Please tell me you at least have kids and a house by now
>millennials
>home ownership
lmao
No kids, fuck that waste of money, house yes.
One of the only guys I still talk to these days...
>A child trying to tell grown-ups how they should live.
That's fucking cute.
I created a steam account to play humble bundle five games on my Mac.
First time I ever bought a game digitally. Went to gamestop/ebgames to pick up the orange box the day it launched and they didn't know if they were actually getting physical copies for PC so I picked up some pizza from the mall, went home and bought it digitally. No regrets. Wasn't the first game I had on steam though. Bought physical Half Life 2 in 2005.
>mfw I scrolled up my purchase history a bit from this and found a game I gifted to a friend in 2008 who is now dead.
Definitely missing stuff before 2008. I think I bought CS Source in 2006 as my first game. No Orange Box listed here either.
>found a game I gifted to a friend in 2008 who is now dead
my condolences
Fuck, forgot to attach the actual screenshot.
Why'd you block out the purchase method...
take me back lads
tf2 on hitlers bday
he didn't want to show you he paid with an amex centurion card
I've only ever got games from humble bundles for the most part.
I think Lisa was first actual Steam purchase.
So you don't see the last two digits of my visa card that expired 12 years ago.
It was steam wallet funds. What do you think I spent it on, anons?
back then i had a friend gift me magnetis so that my tf2 account was able to add friends, store more items etc
dn?
ah here we go, the license activation page. it lists the first couple games as complementary so I guess that means CD key
i had fnv through a disc code like 5 months before this though lol
posting this much is really fucking stupid because if it's ever tied to your account it's trivial to smooth talk a customer support rep into resetting your account, the first thing they ask for is CD keys and then specific times you bought a game
here. This is if you just go by the game activation page. Where my 2005 bros at?
I bought Audiosurf back in 2008 4 years after I got a retail copy of HL2
literally impossible, eat shit
im getting old
I kneel
Orange box I guess.
half life 2, i'm 27
Super Meat Boy in July of 2011
I never did beat it
Like I give a fuck, worth every penny
based
i was glad i was given the chance to enjoy tf2 before mannconomy hit. best nostalgia of my vidya game career by miles.
i remember it clear as day because i just bought a brand new gaming PC after a guy ran me over with his car and i got a fat wad of dosh out of it
post your steam account if you're so confident
>get half-life cause someone was talking about it at school
>throw the key into steam
>gives me every game on steam
and thus, my life was changed...
Nope! I actually forgot all about this game. Was real fun for a little bit.
