I'm not hyped for modern video games anymore

Don't worry, m8.
I'm sure they'll finally begin working on it after Starfield is released

For a game that is gonna be release at 11/11/2033???

Hell no!

It's coming out in like 2025-2026 at the earliest, user.

Has it almost been four years?
Why did they bother announcing anything?

fpbp

Heard any news from the other boards?

Good news from Kvatch for a change. The last of the daedra have been driven out.

>Why did they bother announcing anything?
serious: they wanted people to shut the fuck up about it because they were about to release fallout 76 and were working on starfield
people, including todd's son (not a joke), kept asking them when "skyrim 2" was coming out or if "skyrim 6" was cancelled and they fucking had it so they say "yes we're working on it, shut the fuck up"

morrowind sucked

"Four times the hype of Fallout 4".

I've heard others say the same.

What changes do you expect to muddy it down more for the casual audience?
>combining melee into one perk tree
>removing pick pocketing and lock picking, or combining in into a stealth tree with sneak
>no more alteration or melding it into restoration

>What changes do you expect to muddy it down more for the casual audience?
no way of knowing until starfield comes out, i always personally thought skyrim was their all time low in terms of how casual they could make it without killing themselves and they said in an interview recently now that normies are getting more into RPG shit, they think they are "ready" to introduce them to stuff they used to do
which is all a complete mystery or could be todds lies so again, until starfield comes out, no way of gauging what 6 will be like

Many are dead in the land of the Dunmer. Even St. Jiub, who drove the cliffracers from Vvardenfell, has fallen to the daedra hordes.

this entire scene was about how peter was retarded and didnt understand the movie, you just killed your own post

>gamebryo again

That's too bad.

I wouldn't say hype but I am interested to see what they do with it. Starfield too.

I cannot get into Morrowind. Like yea the lore is super interesting but the wikipedia characters really fucked with me, and even for an old rpg I don't think it's combat system is good and it doesn't have enough to it to make up for shit combat.

i don't really feel any hype.
i suspect they will shit on the lore with trannyism and other non-canon things.

and before you say shit about vivec being a hermaphrodite, there's three things about that:
1.he wasn't. he was a liar.
2.even if he would have been, that's metaphysical god shit. not something regular person can do.
3.your soul and body are intertwined, you mantle and meld with your body upon birth. a regular person will NEVER be a tranny, will never feel as though they are "in the wrong body" unless some horrible magical experiment has gone wrong(they've possessed another body or some shit).

the game is still 5 years away. too far for people to get hyped. the hype for it hinges a lot on how well starfield is received

I have zero interest because I'm expecting an even more slimmed down and repetitive rpg than skyrim and... honestly the worst part is I'm a degenerate and Bethesda has been making it harder and harder to inject degenerate mods into their games. I'm expecting that the next game is going to perma-close off the walls around the community of modding.

Why did major developers go from releasing games every 3-4 years to taking 10+ years recycling the same shit as remasters? I assume money

Attached: img.png (498x568, 98.15K)

I'm betting 3/3/2033

Attached: 1648943827309.jpg (640x833, 91.27K)

I was similar for a while and then it clicked for me and I lost 60 hours to it without realizing it. There's lots of non-infodump dialogue, although you do have to navigate almost all of it via the links. If you read it all I find that it works fine, except for like Vivec and Yagrum, they're basically wikipedia pages with barely any personality when you talk to them.
And I think the combat is fine, by TES standards anyway. I mean all the games are just clicking for melee, at least morrowind makes you pay attention to stamina and weapon proficiency more and has good magic.

Penial was a fucking gay time-traveling cyborg and his bro-bull fucked and impregnated Alessia.

Scrolls is filled with homos and degenerates.

Same, I wasn't even upset when I realized PoS5s, Xboners, and GPUs would out of stock for forever. I just let it go and never upgraded. Sony emailed me last week and said they had stock if I wanted to buy one and I declined.

Under a new formula: Cremation Engine.

Bethesda seal of quality.

>Why did major developers go from releasing games every 3-4 years to taking 10+ years
are you retarded? they made other games in between skyrim and OP.

i know that a tranny is a schizophrenic fetishist in reality.
but their fantasy of what they actually are, a girl's brain in a male body, that can't happen in elder scrolls by its own lore. it's impossible, the body is literally tailor made for the soul that inhabits it. IF it were ever added, it would need to be a form of delusional schizophrenia found within sheogorath's domain, not this horseshit lie that they would absolutely make it to not offend people.

It's just comparing it to any old rpg. Even a boomer relic like Betrayal at Krondor I completed all the way through and that combat was more engaging. I had way more hours in Daggerfall too. What scrolls always had over the competition for me was the mods and the way it approached its open world, jank and all and I feel that Oblivion and Skyrim's simulation focus was better than Morrowind even if they left behind the great elements of Morrowind.

Current Bethesda can't even hope to make an open world game that can stand up to BOTW or Elden Ring so no.

But Fallout 76 wasn't developed by Bethesda Austin?

What the fuck are you talking about? If you're just hear to bitch about trannys, there's another thread on the front page. Just don't act like adding those weirdos would really stain the drug-fueled nightmare we have for lore.

also, being a faggot isn't inhibited by the lore. that's perfectly possible, and expected. it's just something that exists(even if i hate it).
i'm talking pure canonical reasoning here. not from my own bias against them.

I feel the opposite, I think morrowind was closer to it's sim roots than oblivion or skyrim were. Manipulating stats, freedom to murder, more freedom in terms of movement, more systems working off of each other etc.

>took us 7 years to get that trailer
>4 years have passed since then
>probably 3 more years before it actually comes out
Anyone else thinks modern games take a little bit too long to develop?

Now check the timeframes of Morrowind and Oblivion then compare it to Skyrim

It's literally not coming out until 2026 minimum. It's currently still in the concept phase.

I welcome it just for the massive boost to Argonian porn that will happen.

Those are the great things I want to return. I feel the radiant AI system even if it gets janky made the world feel alive and all the other pointless shit like npcs working, going to drink and eat, and physics on every clutter object filled a void I run into when I get into Morrowind.

They won't remove lockpicking, maybe pickpocket, but not lockpicking. Lockpicking in elder scrolls and lockpick + hacking in fallout are normie loved staples of bethesda games. I agree they may very well combine all weapon perks into 1 single tree, at the most divided as "melee and ranged", definitely wont have separate perks for weapon types like swords, axes, etc. The dialogue will be dumbed down maybe even more then FO4.

I fully expect them to dumb down magic and for certain trees to be completely removed and/or combined into a different tree, like combining alteration into restoration, mysticism+illusion completely removed with a few of their spells being thrown into destruction. I wonder if they would take it so far as to combine heavy/light armor?

I hope they don't do any of this, but this is the path Bethesda games have always been heading in, with every new game having complexity removed, things being dumbed down, then those games selling more then ever before, making Bethesda think that these are the correct changes.

One major change I'm also expecting, which can be good or bad, depends what they actually do, is I'm expecting them to try to fully revamp the combat system. Their tried and true method of left click right click, they are going to want to modernize that like they modernized Fallouts combat.

Yes. TESVI will be the biggest game release in history.

>fallout 4 with hundreds of redguards in wakanda
outlook not good

I'm hype for the mods that'll come out 6 months after this developer sandbox gets released.

Oh you meant the AI. Yeah that's definitely a nice addition of oblivion and skyrim and I agree that it adds a lot to the feel of the world. It's just not as big of a deal to me as the freedom morrowind gives you.

This. only Yea Forums stuff keeps me sane anymore.

BGS has had more than one branch for a while, all the branches all work on the same game.
What was up with austin is that they were a recently acquired studio that was working on a multiplayer game that got cancelled so bethesda was like "okay, you guys know multiplayer right? go hang out with iD for a couple of weeks, use the quake code and figure out how to make multiplayer work in the fallout 4 engine while we make the world and shit like we normally do"
you can check the credits yourself, this meme that 76 was developed solely by some random branch is not based in reality
some of the austin devs used to be devs on mmos like star wars galaxies
thankfully they decided to fuck off with the multiplayer thing so they will probably retrain the austin devs so they can have more manpower

Nothing will top Morrowind. It probably won't even top Skyrim.

I'll top you

mmmm

>breath of ubisoft
>elden snooze
>good open world

If Starfield turns out shit, TES 6 will turn out shit.

I can see Todd retiring or starting his own thing after TES 6. That dude is getting old as fuck. Maybe he'll pull a Miyamoto and act as a consultant/producer for projects while not actually doing fuckall but be the face of Bethesda's most popular IPs.

Real men trust Todd.

Graphics mostly

I remember when they announced it they were getting lit up for how shitty Fallout '76 was and it seemed like they literally just took a generic background and slapped Elder Scrolls 6 on it to take the heat off.

Because '76 was so poorly recieved, and they had nothing but delays for Starfield, so they had to throw the fanbois and press a bone.

Honestly, if they don't raise the bar significantly from F4 and '76, it's gonna be crap. They need good writers, good designers, and a better engine. My prediction is Starfield will be Fallout in space, with all of Fallout's flaws.

Bethesda's needed new leadership for over a decade. As long as Howard and what's his fuck face are running things...yeah. No hype, and the games will suck.

>Elden Ring
lol

>including todd's son (not a joke)
Stop making shit up
