Shovelware you asked for as a kid and actually played a lot of or completed it
Shovelware you asked for as a kid and actually played a lot of or completed it
I just wanted a horse riding game, and this was the only one.
Mom got it for me and told me to not tell dad.
He walked into the room once I was playing it & all he said was
>that lass is getting off the horse the wrong way.
>Favorite villain in PGG was Him
>Theres a game for that
>It sucks and these devs made every handheld PPG game
I got Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Mans Chest for GBA and I liked it but I'd imagine it would be generic in current day
>The only Rocko game is an entire game of escort missions
What the fuck was i thinking
dude this tastes like crap
Antz was SOUL
One of the worst games I ever had.
I remember really enjoying this as a kid so I went back and emulated it recently. Holy shit is it bad. The only thing I still like about it is growing your company/house throughout the game.
The essential game you buy based on how it looks fun to play and in reality it isnt and is just a rayman 2 tech demo
probably my most played GBA game
This game kinda sucked. The attacks were too generic. Like, make the fire guy use his fire sword, the underground guy use his claws, etc. Instead they all shot blasts of ambiguous "elemental energy"
I liked it.
>It worse than the original movie game in every conceivable way, especially character wise and visually
The mini games are still really fun.
It was fun seeing how big the laser blast could get
I actually played this with my friends sometimes and we all just kinda coped with how lacking the minigames were just because it was nicktoons
Nicktoons Unite is the game to play with friends, not this shit
Dad got me this with my gba
Ngl it got me into arcade games cause I never got to play a lot of them as a kid
How are 4 namco classics on GBA shovelware? Is this a bad port?
Holy shit, someone else! I played the shit out of this as a kid!
You liked the console game so now you want it on the go and its god awful
Bubbles punched Him from the foreground.
You still have a youthful mind and enjoy any game regardless of quality. You enjoy the genuine funny dialogue and rolling around while SpongeBob makes the funny squeaky sound across recognizable locations from the cartoon. You feel secure and happy living the moment.
I played the GameCube version by the way, not sure if the ps2 was inferior. I just picked the first image I saw.
>got this game after playing bfbb
I have never been more disappointed in my life. was still fun though, despite the art direction being very strange it still feels soulful
based dad
This game effectively played itself. On the bright side, it was a two-pack with Lego Racers.
does this count as shovelware?
Genuinely has an excellent soundtrack, I'd highly recommend giving it a listen
I thought I fucking imagined this Antz game, I vividly remembered what I believed was an Antz top down racing game I can't believe I'm not schizophrenic
I dont have a pic of the Scholastic catalog but im pretty sure i got a Monsters Inc game from their catalog once
Absolutely not.
Also the Rugrats In Paris game (absolute godshit)
and the Atlantis Game (meh)
Th Harry Potter game for the GA, barely remember what went on but my mum got me advance wars with it which was obviously the far better game.
Not only did I beat this shitty game in a single sitting multiple times, I actually went and begged my parents for the sequel despite knowing that it was just more of the same garbage. I was just so fucking excited to have a Godzilla game I could take on the go. Luckily the store didn’t the sequel so my parents got me a copy of Dragon Warrior Monsters instead and that game was fucking amazing
I got this game from a Scholastic catalog. I remember it being an absolute bitch to get running properly, and the game itself was barely above those old 3D Groove games that used to be on Nick.com, except this time it had a price tag.
Phil Hartman or not, someone has to post it cause its absolutely not a good game
>Shovelware
Everyone that played this liked it
quality has nothing to do with the term shovelware
>No moooom, not THAT new Monster Rancher game
Actually played the living fuck out of it once I got over the disappointment
>Play the previous console gen version first on rental
>See that its on newer consoles and get it
>Its actually worse and doesnt even feel the same and has a different hub and other changes
What the fuck
i actually knew two other people who also had this piece of shit. couldn't even link battle with it.
Played the fuck out of Blasto when I was a young lad at these twin girls house who had a PS1. Good times. Idk if this is shovelware but I played it to 100% completion as a kid.
Why aren't there more games where you play as an insect/arachnid?
I think that's a bit unfair. The game has the makings of a competent action platformer, with the environment to match. It's just that very few 3D games could actually pull it off in that era.
I still remember it fondly.
>Rugrats Search for Reptar and this
>Not only pretty damn fun back then but still pretty fun even now
Shame they don't even try anymore.
>that lass is getting off the horse the wrong way.
Was she taking it in the ass? I heard you can die that way.
Try Deadly Creatures for the Wii
The final boss is a hunter who you beat by getting into his pants and stinging him in the dick
Speaking of Bionicle, Bionicle Heroes was the tits. Basically an off-brand Lego Metroid Prime
Back then i got any game that i could play local co-op with my friends even if its painfully generic
Bonus points if you bought the sequel
Ms had a better time...Mr not so much...
Only game from these that ever caught my eye was Wario: Master of Disguise
I remember pre-ordering both that game and Diddy Kong racing DS. My mom was so pissed she never let me pre-order games again
this game was so good. still replay it every so often, something about it is still so comfy and enjoyable
>Oh boy i love NBA Jam in the arcade/SNES
>NBA Jam 99's main selling point is realistic basketball
>And its ugly ass 3D models compared to the spritework of the original
Pretty sure i cried
I remember getting a PC copy of Sonic Heroes from a Scholastic book fair. My computer ran it at a silky smooth 2 FPS.
this game was legitimately fun and i've only found one other game like it.
>mfw had actual nba jam on the playstation
I have a vivid memory of playing Eyetoy with my cousin and her friend and they told me to go into another room and let them record a video using it
I came back and it was a video of them teasing me and making fun of me, especially her friend who im pretty sure liked me
Shovelware doesn't necessarily mean bad, just low-budget and churned out solely to make money off an existing brand. Low effort ports of existing games definitely count even if they're good, especially considering the sheer number that Namco and whoever owns Atari crank out.
Gamestop ps2 case artist?
Did you eveb kiss her friend? I'm gonna guess no.
