>smarter than Light
>made Near give up
>made the shinigami king seethe so badly he changed the rules specifically to screw him
The only based zoomer

I will never not be mad over his redesign
and the fact they keep rehashing a show that ended perfectly

that haircut is older than zoomers

It's a different guy entirely user. it's a post Light sequel.

tl;dr he sells the note trough ryuk to the US government for a quadrilion yen with payment to be given in equal parts to everyone having an account in some bank before X day making it impossible to track him down while also giving him like a billion yen(8million USD)
the shinigami king seethes so hard for being outsmarted that he makes up a rule on the spot that anyone who buys/sells the note will die even though he sold it before the rule existed(the rule says upon taking the paymen you will die) AND didn't even actually sell it since the US president didn't accept it (cause he would then die)

literally league of legends
they first make shit balance decision like making support only items ridiculously OP and worth more than their "displayed" value and then get buttmad that people in other roles buy those items and they have to patch it out
though there are no bans for it

he still died from "using" the notebook since he withdrew his share of the money

ffxi thread?

Wait, there is a continuation to death note?

>the world knows the US bought the death note
>Trump refuses to accept the death note since he would die but still claims to have it since everyone already knows he bought it
>Trump becomes the most powerful and feared person in the world even though he doesn't actually have the death note
Trump > Minoru > Near > Kira

Yeah, although it was pretty recently

Just a one-shot. Worth a read.

but its still fucking retarded
the note got sold and the money was transfered("Recieved") before that rule existed, that transaction was now over
thats why its fucking bullshit, making minoru die was fucking retarded, he 100% deserved that win
but then again thats the same person who made kira a fucking genious in first half and then a literal fucking retard in the second part so I expect nothing from the creator

no just a oneshot, mostly unrelated to it well yeah, kinda like nuclear weapons work
you don't need to actually fire them for people to fear you

sounds like a unlikable character Light was a good character because he could be outplayed by people.

>Ruined Underail desu.

I finished my cave wizard playthrough like a couple days before he overhauled the psi system and crippled psi builds. Dodged a bullet.

What would you do with the Death Note that wouldn’t make the shinigami king seethe?

The kids plan was far more simple than lights, unlike light who kept his shit going for like 10 years trying to become god there was little room for Near to take him on, mostly because he wasn't using it enough if at all to figure out who was using it, and since millions of people in japan got the payout, there was no way for them to tell who was the books seller, which at that point there's no point as Trump supposedly had it by then.

Yeah, but unlike nukes the notebook kills simply by writing peoples names in it, and can fully control people before their death. That's infinitely more powerful and fearful than a nuke.

Light was a moron. He had a massive ego and wanted people to know "someone" was killing people and only won against L because a shinigami had a boner for Misa. Minoru on the other hand didn't even want the death note so he decided to sell it and made a shitload of people millionaires overnight. He wasn't a faggot like Light who was constantly antagonizing the people trying to catch him. He didn't give a fuck about Near, and iirc he didn't even know he existed or that he was trying to catch him.

Fucking nothing, you can't get anything worth of value out of it now that he put that rule, you can literally only kill to kill, who's to say any advancement in society you reap from it isn't monetary in some way and he just offs you.

Everytime I want to recommend Death Note to a friend I remember the foot massage scene and instantly decide against it

i tried rewatching death note and 2 episodes in i had to stop because as an adult i realized just how much of an asshole light is because of his god complex yes i know thats the point

Get a rich person to marry me before dying in a very public way that is impossible to be construed as my fault.
Use money to fund my dream game since I lack any skills except for writing greentext porn.

Why aren't there any good detective anime? They're full of as pulls and dumb evidence or action. Would be cool to see one done well. Death Note was close in the first half.
Light was a cool protagonist. Don't see many like that. Other antihero guys are too heroic or have some weird backstory. Few ever go full villain.

>Light never fucked Misa
>All the sexual tension with L
>Yagami spelled backward spells "I'm a gay"

Absolute faggot and least relatable MC in history.

So... you made a monetary gain through the book?

Bump

Not a /pol/tard but genuinely curious. if everyone in Japan became millionares how would the current elite feel about that? Thats a lot of rich people out of nowhere

>The Shinigami King is a part of the New World Order
No wonder he was seething so much.

Not against the rules. The rules specifically state selling/buying the death note.

Didn't the one shot basically confirm that Light fixed the world by using the Death Note? So he literally did nothing wrong by spreading absolute fear among the masses. He was right

Monetary gain through the book isn't what made the king mad.
It was monetary gain through the book without using the book.
He doesn't care about making money with it, he just wants someone dies to gain any benefit from it.

What are you talking about?
I'm playing psi/throwing and it works fine.

What changes happened in the world for the better? Wasn't Light basically remembered in the same light as Charles Manson?

>well yeah, kinda like nuclear weapons work
>you don't need to actually fire them for people to fear you
That's not what nuclear deterrence is at all. Nukes keep peace not because one country has them and everyone fears that one country. They keep peace because multiple countries have them and if one were to launch one, the only appropriate retaliation would be to launch your own, thus it becomes a back and forth of all countries involved launching as many as they have to try and wipe their opponent out before they can do the same and likely completely ruin the planet in the process.

The main character from that one shot confirms that all world wars had stopped, and crime was an unprecedented all time low, and this is more than a decade after the death of Kira

>>if everyone in Japan became millionares how would the current elite feel about that?
The value of yen would drop exponentially because if everyone's a millionaire then having 1 million yen would create a system in which it would be the equivalent of 20 bucks.

Wtf I didn't know there was a new series. I hate the zoomer look but Death Note is my favorite series ever, kinda' neat.

Well it takes place in modern day, so it makes sense he'd look like that. Hell, Light had the emo look of his era.

His idea was dumb as fuck because sharing all that money with everybody would cause inflation and devaluing their currency, so he would get rich at all.

>and then a literal fucking retard in the second part
The second part was retarded for so many reasons, largely because he clearly spent all of his best tricks in the first half with L so they only way he could keep up the suspense and keep upping their power levels was this retarded game of "I knew that you knew that I knew that you knew that he knew that you knew that I knew that they knew that you knew that I knew so I what I REALLY did was ____" and then following it up with "but I knew that you were actually doing that so I did ____ when it only looked like I fell for it" and then a big shocking reveal of "YOU FOOL! I actually knew that you would know so instead I was really doing _____!"

It was burger money though, that's the point.

>Demons not playing by their own rules
This is a case of play stupid games, win stupid prizes. He lost the moment he picked up that notebook, because the notebook is more or less a monkey's paw meant to amuse bored goblin looking fuckers.

Wait, I thought this was a one-off thing where the Deathnote ends up in the hand of Trump?
It's going to be an ongoing manga now?

Attached: 1643015248242.jpg (1208x721, 91.95K)

No, it was a oneshot.

Oh, OP was just in a cave for a couple years? Alright.

Nothing, it exists to fuck humans over for his entertainment. If you manage to think of any loop hole or positive outcome for yourself, he'll change the rules on the spot to fuck you over, rendering any rules or contract meaningless. It essentially has no rule other than "you'll 100% die and go to shinigami limbo if you get involved with it in any way, shape, or form". The house always wins, no point in playing.

He was a weird kid. He accepted that he could never do what Light did after he brought attention to the Death Note and just did something completely different and unheard of. Then again he acted a bit too greedy and it got him killed even though he played by the rules.

>>Dies

He was up against the impossible, no way can he predict something like a horny shinigami breaking the rules at the cost of its own life to help Light.

He flat out admits Light was just way to smart to be able to work around all the rules of the Death Note, and showed admiration to him, so he decides to wait 2 years until he's older and comes up with a plan, which in the age of computers and smartphones, was his only real option.

Make someone hijack a plane, fill it with gallons upon gallons of dog piss, and fly it over a childrens hospital before having a heart attack. The plan would crash into the hospital, killing all the children, and drenching their dead bodies in dog piss.
Then I'd jack off.

Kid was smart, but the ending was retarded

A god literally broke the rules to kill him because he was about to win.

She didn't help Light. Light used her for his own gain because he's a piece of shit. Light beat L because Light was a monster willing to do whatever it takes to survive

So was it canon that Light became a Shinigami or was than an OVA meme

retard

Attached: 1633666334505.png (642x250, 95.58K)

There were no rules broken. It just fell in love with the wrong person and that just so happened to be the person L was about to put to death.

Overwatch using the same character
SFV using invincible meter less dps
WoW using anything
FFXIV using classes over jobs for better skills and str acc on tanks

Basically all the soulless games geared for scrubs who need a super rigid game so their small brains can comprehend it

>Get hit with checkmate
>"Well played, but before I concede to you, let me just say one thing..."
>Bring out a gun and shoot your opponent
>"...I never really lose."

The only real rules is to entertain the King or die. And he tried to stop being the Jester and died because of it.

>There were no rules broken.
There definitely were rules broken because the consequence existed for punishing the action.

good because the japanese government has been trying to cause more inflation for years

It's pretty insane Light worked around those rules and even used some of them to his advantage for an entire decade.

If he's flying the plane already, the heart attack still gets the goal. Dead children and dog piss. Lots of both.

>Bush and Trump are depicted in Death Note as selfish cowards

Attached: 1253532712911.jpg (545x434, 23.36K)

Something quadrillion dollars of my tax dollars deposited into some Japanese neet bank account, and you really think the average US citizen isn't going to riot because of it. They'd probably end up losing the money once the US got the book.

A Naomi prequel would be great actually, but the novel has some serious canonical issues

why do people think this is light?

No the consequences exist cause of the rules. The rule is that if they interfere in a humans death then they will die and give their life span to the human. It's just the natural order of a Shinigami. It's not like Rem didn't know what the out come would be or didn't accept it's intimidate death.

he'll just die of heart attack seconds after you write the circumstance. he wouldn't even get to board the plane.

how many times has Trump appeared in anime? I can count three times at least
>Inuyashiki
>Death Note One Shot
>Odd taxi

Desperate fujos making up headcanon

>FFXIV using classes over jobs for better skills
When was this a thing and how the heck did it work?

Trump makes senses after he advocated for vaccines. Bush doesn't cause he was too much of a party boy to ever be like that.

What if I wrote down the name of an airplane pilot while he was flying

Nah man, I got a bud and I'll have him do it, then write it out when he's already in flight. I got this. Dead bodies and peepee.

I'll never understand Yea Forums's hatred for this haircut.

There are usually two or more pilots on board for this sort of thing.

I'm not a fan of it myself, but I mostly don't care if other people have it. That said, I hate going to the barber to get a classic undercut and two-tone shows up when I want to give visual examples on my phone.

My guy just wanted money. He didn't have the heart to kill people, just scam them. It just turns out the """People""" he scammed were death gods and he got a predictable comeuppance from them

This whole OVA was non-canon, it even had Mello order someone to shoot Near even though the Death Note rules forbid controlling someone to kill another person.

I didn't say it wasn't like Relm didn't know. I strictly said that it took a god breaking a rule. She objectively broke a rule and she objectively got punished for it. It doesn't matter if she was fine with dying for it. The only way Light could overcome L was to flip the chess board and shoot L because L was outplaying him until that point.

>Shimigami king changes the rules at the last second so the pilot has the heart attack only after he touches the ground.

Nah, he’s relatable as fuck. Misa is one the worst characters in fiction.

why need a death note at that point retard

Tarnation

I looks retarded. It's doesn't look good or make you look gangster, it makes you look like a tool. Same goes for Dreads and Manbuns. FUCK I hate Manbuns.

Attached: 1405479086169.png (301x286, 47.76K)

I'm more saying it's just the natural law. The only reason it seems like a rule break is because it's not something a shinigami would ever do. It doesn't mean it not going to happen. The only rule break was the Shinigami King literally changing the rules cause he didn't want to lose face and look dumb to a human.

To be fair, that girl was a psychotic train wreck. Hot for sure, but definitely crazy.

2.0-2.4
You would level classes to get cross skills and classes could use any cross skill while jobs were regulated to only two specific classes. People were using Marauder with shade shift/perfect dodge when it completely nullified damage to make DPS tanks that could outperform the average shitter Dragoon. Of course some of the worst players in the community cried about it and YoshiP nerfed crossskills and buffed jobs during 2.45 and 3.0 before completely removing it later

Well, he wouldn't fly the thing if he knew he was going to die. He'd just be flying it cuz it's a route for all he knows.

2nd movie has a better ending than the manga and anime though I do have a soft spot for swimming lessons

L 'winning' at the cost of his own life and still losing because he didn't anticipate Watari getting killed is maximum Kino. "Tie game. Everybody loses" is a much better fit for Deathnote thematically than what we got with Mello and Near.
