My standing theory is the Humans, elevated into a warp-using high tech space/dimension-fairing race, used their reach and power to raise up other species [such as the one that Hyness came from] to join them, and the 'Ancients' are a sort of collective, like some kinda star trek deal or something. And they eventually all fell apart and broke up because reasons, probably eventually turning on themselves and infighting over things as shown with, again, Hyness' backstory.

I've seen no reason to believe the ancients aren't human when all of the details we know about them suggest they probably are.
Forgotten Land looks like a very human environment and it explains how the inhabitants discovered their warp technology. Hyness said they were scientists, which lines up with the new discoveries in Forgotten Land. Nova is said to be a creation of the ancients, and it has a globe of Earth on it. Hyness says they're probably somewhere "pretty and peaceful" and Leongar says they disappeared to a "world of dreams"
The Ancients, humanity, and the former inhabitants of the New World all seem to be the same group.

Thinking about it, the Forgotten Land civilisation likely took credit for the stuff Hyness’ clan did and made since he claimed that they were erased from history. Which would explain why the Master Crown is more magic based with a connection to Dark Matter than science unlike the Lor Starcutter and Novas which use the Elfilis Star Portal technology. Overtime Magolor probably assumed they were all done by one civilisation

Quick question: I never played 'Kirby and the Rainbow Curse' as the stylus Kirby games filter me. With that said, why does Rainbow Curse have such a god-tier OST? Like, there are large number of remixed tracks from previous games, and they are excellent. Some examples:

The star portals are an Elfilis thing that the humans of the forgotten land reverse-engineered, which is how they became an Ancients thing. The Lor Starcutter is based on the technology of the ancients, but it wasn't built by them. I think the Lor is Halcandran, I think Magolor might be Halcandran too but I'm not sure.

That is a plus, but Star Allies has its own strengths that make up for it while Forgotten Land has its own weaknesses. Star Allies' multiplayer and control of abilities/dream friends is vastly better for example, and the level design in Star Allies isn't even bad, it's mediocre at worst. The late game and post game Star Allies levels are extremely good. They're both great games for different reasons.
Forgotten Land made me excited for Kirby's future too. I hope the average copy ability has as many moves as Morpho Knight Sword in the future and the co-op improves somewhat.

Unless Forgotten Land actually updates to add the DLC Dream Friends in some capacity, Star Allies will always have that advantage. Until then, Forgotten Land is not an objective improvement.

Star Allies is absolutely the most boring game I ever played. I can't be assed to even play the Guest Star post game campaigns with the DLC characters let alone the whole fucking 30 character cast because the game is so boring.

I beat Ultimate Cup Z three times and already got sick of it. Even though I wanted the Crystal Hearts it's just not that replayable.
I beat Soul Melter DX with every character and enjoyed each run.
Both games have their own strengths.

None of the final bosses are related to Drawcia, but they keep bringing back her attacks.
Just don't think about it too hard.

Try playing the Marx Guest Star mode and see how you feel then.

A lot of the bosses referekce the other bosses, especially the Soul versions of the bosses which Chaos Elfilis essentially is.

They forgot how to design decent stage layouts in SA.

Yes, Star Allies has weaker level design than previous games and Forgotten Land, but it's by no means bad level design.

Guest Star is fun but only if you actually attempt to speedrun it, which leaves you playing as Dark Meta Knight or the Mage Sisters.

Forgotten Land definitely needs additional cups at the very least, and preferably more playable characters.

Well your feeling is wrong, I bought the game day 1 and was immensely disappointed. For being the final hurrah for 2D Kirby, it sucks majorly. It felt like one of those horrible Wii U filler tier games they were releasing in between the Switch.

I played it solo on the 3DS and I had a great time.

The ancients did that. The humans did not.
