I used to defend Elden Rings re-use of assets...

I used to defend Elden Rings re-use of assets, but making it through a lengthy dungeon only to be “rewarded” with yet another Red Wolf of Radagon fight at the end just felt soooo disappointing. Skyrim-tier reuse of enemies.

get fucked on bitch lmao

Note that the dungeon itself actually had a decent puzzle. So I expected more

Zoomie plz type like a normal human and not like you're a female on twitter.

I'm one of the fags that justifies the reuse of some bosses if the puzzle dungeon is different, which it usually is.

it's pretty bad, but you went into "a dungeon" with THAT tileset and expected something unique?
that's a you issue

>80 unique bosses
>10 are reused
>soOoOo disappointing

No dungeon has a unique fight, it's literally always a rare mob sometimes with a gimmick.
You people freak the fuck out over something with a healthbar yet give a pass to normal enemies, solely on the basis that if it has a health bar it must be a unique entity.

Elden Ring might re-use shit, but it's not at the same level of other games. Anybody who expected the game to be rationed like more linear souls games is a retard.

Notice how defensive fromdrones get when you mention copypasted assets

Notice how the only argument about Elden Ring being bad is it should have been converted into DeS so in hindsight people could experience a fight once per run thus making it a good game, because nobody can argue that From Software could pull off the same open world map and give it the level of fine tuning prior games got without extreme delays.

Sure it would be fucking great if they did that, but we wouldn't see Elden Ring until 2025.

>skyrim tier
Yeah, no, i would like if there were less reused enemies, but relativelly speaking there is no modern open world game that is better at enemies diversity compared to ER.

Filtered roflmao

most shardbearers are unique but everything else is re-used. fucking godefroy and you can even fight margit/morgot 3 times since he has a random encounter outside the capital as well

git gud

Is not even blue or white, is the same fucking wolf.

Yea this one was the most jarring to me even more than Astrel. He’s a Red Wolf clearly referencing Radagons red hair and it makes sense he would leave it for Rennala to protect her. Then it just starts popping up 2 more times.

There is a red wolf in ranni's rise as well. Radogan has multiple red wolves.

its actually ERnewfags, actual fromplayers would complain about the copypasting just as they did with DS2's smelter demon and 1's asylum demon

I'm sure they (not all) got tired of arguing over the same shit thrown ER's way 1000x over and over. Hence; filtered/git gud.

>I used to defend reused bosses until I experienced it.
Almost all defense of the game early on came from players who hadn't encountered any of the biggest flaws. The professional reviews were written similarly.

8 unique* boss

*TL note: Unique means not reused

Red wolf is somewhat fun. Erdtree dragon on the othet fucking hand.

You loved DS1 which reused most of its stuff from DeS, now you're crying about ER making you fight its own things more than once.
Will you ever be happy about anything?

Then you find it in a random tomb just named Champions Wolf

They got copypasted brain.

It was less acceptable in those games because the smaller scale of those games. Demon Fire Sage was likely shat out because they basically ran out of time doing Izailith.
Blue Smelter is hated because the DLCs have all the time in the world to finely tuned for their price.

People are going to be more forgiving in a huge game like Elden Ring.

>F-fromdrone
Yep it's a tranny alright

The fact that they couldn't even bother to give it different spells or just port in the stupid Wolves from Ariandel in place of some of these annoys me.

Yes and Radogan is a?

>completing the dungeon itself is not reward enough

These games aren't for you.

It's the opposite, it was more acceptable when it was niche.

He gives one wolf to his former lover
He gives one wolf to his daughter
He gives one wolf to a random hole in the ground

I criticized how you're typing like a bitch. The Catacombs are all optional Chalice dungeon-esque areas and it's very clear that they have had for more work put into them than copy/pasting layouts.

>it was more acceptable when a shit game charged me $90 for the privilege of fighting a blue recolor

If elden rings dlc comes out and people pay extra to fight a bunch of tree spirits sprite swapped and more chariots THEN it will be on the same level as fromsofts biggest blunder.

Easiest boss in Raya Lucaria, the axe cart was unironically harder

He gives one to Nokron? Or to the Ancestors?

its because the myrmidion of loss copy and pasted assets, thats why zanzibart wont forgive him. it all makes sense if you read the items.

>shit game
?
old FS games were good tho?

>notice how people defend themselves when I give out dogshit criticism
lmao

Filter issue
As in the filter is shit and sucks

Red wolf of radagon is also straight up a DS3 asset, so that's nice.

An asset that never got used, but sure.

There were Undead in the dungeon tho

Discord thread

re-use of assets isn't the problem, it's the symptom
the problem was the game being way too ambitious and them having to release it half finished (or maybe that's a bit exaggerated of a statement, but probably 80% finished)

>Open World not only makes for massive empty areas and boring gameplay but its implementation also forced them to disable Single Player invasions. Something that doesnt even make sense lore wise when you can use a Rune Arc but somehow not be flagged for invasion.
Elden ring and DS2 are on the same level. Both tried alot of new things but ultimately they both suffer greatly for it. Elden Ring just has the advantage of a little more polish from the A team.

I really don't think the game would suffer much if you halved the amount of shitty tombs and instead added the rewards from them into the game so people wouldn't complain about crafting ingredients all the time

No only that a lot of people like their games.

The redwolf fights are easy, its the annoying tree spirit ones that get old. the game can barely contain their spastic moves and you better not be locked on or else the camera is going to explode.

old wolf of farron uses the same animation skeleton and has a similar model anyway so it was partially reused

I think it's a ram issue.

Its a wolf you retard.

Any other reused ones?

Not only did they reuse this boss but it's not even a new art asset. It's a scrapped boss from DS3.

if kotaku or whatever pozzed video game "news" site you got that info from didn't report on it you would'nt have known.

I WASTED 200 HOURS PLAYING A BORING GAME TO GET CALLED A """"HARDCORE GAMER""""" AND THE ONLY THING I GOT WAS THAT PEOPLE ON Yea Forums ARE SAYING IT WAS A SHITTY GAME NO NO NO NO NO NO NO I WANTED TO BE A HARDCORE GAMER

user some people actually play the video games they comment about online

>>Exploration is terrible
subjective, I loved it
>>Weapon balance is absolute dogshit for PvE and PvP
No souls game has ever been balanced and pvp is only fun because of the OP shit. Games that are both pve and pvp are also impossible to balance, WoW has never done it for example. Balance in PvE is mostly irrelevant.
>>Late game enemy damage scales so hard it feels like no progress has been made with your character
Dishonest non-argument from a journalist-brained moron. The game is always challenging during the relevant content as it should be. Or did you want to steamroll everything by the end? If I have progressed to Altus then of course that current content is going to be challenging. But if I travel back to Liurnia or Limgrave I can destroy everything in a few hits, because the character progress is huge.
>>Performance is worse then other games
Hard to say. I'm playing this on gtx1060 6gb and recording with OBS at the same time. Everything runs pretty well, except for random crashes sometimes.
>>Open World not only makes for massive empty areas and boring gameplay
Subjective, but also wrong. None of the areas feel empty and the exploration feels like one of the most fun things for me personally.
So basically you have no actual arguments besides "I didnt like it". Except for the performance part, which could be true. You could have at least complained about reused bosses or some of the boss movesets, which are legitimate complaints.

>Nazghul but magic
>Nazghul but horse breaths fire and shield summons lightning

whine more

>omg this boss is used 2 times!!
really?

>doing hero’s graves
They were all so shit. I only did the one in the beginning. The worst part about the game and nothing comes close
