Buy furniture from NPCs to decorate with, collect trophies from enemies and bosses to mount on the walls. Like an NPC? Do their quest and you get the option to invite them to stay at your place, like how Roderika moves in and can set up shop as a Spirit Tuner.
You could collect all the waifus or husbandos and keep them safe in your base with their own little rooms.
