I really did like Borderlands 1 on Xbox so bought 2 on PC and played it by myself
Once I beat the game I realized I never once had fun. It felt like a chore to play and I really don't remember anything about it other than the snowy intro and when your little hub town gets attacked. There's just no way 3 is any different, and a week after release there was just no discussion on the game anywhere anyway.

I feel like the game must be mediocre as hell. Once it came out on epic literally nobody talked about it. Even shit posting went down considerably.

I just set the voice language to japanese and turned subtitles off. The scripted sequences where you wait for people to do stuff aren't as bad as they were in 2.
They changed to damage scaling to be more similar to the first game. You'll get plenty of legendaries that will carry you for 10 levels, the scaling in 2 was so bad that a lvl 50 white would be better than a lvl 49 legendary.
They patched it in recently.

Are there any mods to make the character models/textures prettier? I want to like the Siren but she only looks good at certain angles with the right lighting. I just want to remove the wrinkles and piercings and maybe soften her face up a bit. She's too 'punk' for my taste. Just because she's a muscle girl doesn't mean she has to look/act like a man 24/7. I wish she showed off her feminine side sometimes. Her voice sounds feminine at least so there's still hope for her.

It is a FPS so it's not like you're constantly looking at her face if you play as her. There's also a ton of headgear you could put on but that's just masking the issue with her face textures. There will probably be an edit soon enough with the steam release.

Reminder that BL1 didn't have a proper story because 2K and Gearbox thought their game wouldn't sell well, but since it was a massive success they tried to salvage the material they had in an attempt to build a coherent universe suitable enough for sequels.

BL3's poor writing is just Gearbox trying to stay coherent with lore that was hastily written on a napkin and hitting a wall. That whole thing with Maya and Ava had to happen because it had been previously decided that there could only be only six living sirens in the entire universe.

unfortunately Sirens is what Gearbox writers are fixated on. Lilith, Maya, Amara, Tannis, Troy, Tyreen, Ava, and Nyriad are all Sirens and are featured in the game.

They did it to introduce the concept of sirens passing their powers to someone they had chosen.
They had to kill one siren and they couldn't pick Lilith because she's pretty much she-Jesus at this point so they chose to sacrifice that one girl who never had her background story properly explained

Nyriad id long dead though. Her powers were passed to Tyreen and Troy because they were the only possible hosts on the entire planet.
