I started with Persona 1 last year and i think that Persona 5 is 4/10, also didn't like Persona 2, checkmate nerd.

It happened naturally as Atlus saw the profits in the series. I thought it was bad with 4, but it seems to be worse with 5. Either way most of the people who play the newer ones are too dense to play an early Persona like 1 or 2, and YHVH forbid SMT.

Pachinko is huge too, doesn't mean it's good, they are two games that never ever tried to change from the very first chapter unlike Persona, i tried up until DQ5 and still have to find a good game that still holds up in that entire franchise, unlike Persona.
To be fair, i liked P1 way more than something like Nocturne (last one i played, i'm missing SJ and 4s), don't know what but they are missing something, also the platforms they are releasing them do not help at all for the mainstream, maybe it'll change with SMTV
