most people have their go-to games. it comes from the f2p or live service thing. they play one or two games religiously and ignore pretty much everything else unless they have done all the latest content or there is a "blockbuster" game release.
im pretty much guilty of that too. i play path of exile religiously and dont even look at other games until im burned out with the current league and only then do i look at stuff i have in my backlog. i very rarely buy games the day they come out and if there is a new game that i happen to want to play i probably will pirate it unless its a multiplayer game.

If it really is *that* restrictive about it, pirates will do shit like emulate a basic fake server service running on your PC to make the game think it's online. The fact is, if you don't need to use the game's servers because you don't need to connect to other players, you don't really need the servers at all.

Sadly, despite their best intentions, Ubisoft is still operating under a capitalist economic system, and the vestiges of white supremacy in company leadership have led them down the path of using Denuvo and denying access to this liberating experience to the poor minorities around the world, and that's why cracking this game is so important, and that's why I'm so happy about the prospect that the first person to crack ACO will be breaking the hegemony of white male cracking groups.
