How much is that compared to the other yakuza games or judgement?

only 400,000?

>only 400,000?

That's Japan only

A lot more

that's good in japan, where 100k is considered ok. a triple A mega hit would be like 5 mil.

They never left.

peesee english when

thats japan only and digital only

>shipment

i'll give a shot on a good sale. Not bothering otherwise.

based, glad to see 7 filtered out all the rpg-hating zoomers

>shipments
>not sales
>Y7 had the weakest opening sales out of all Yakuza games
Is this some poor bait?

>it took Yakuza 7 1.5 months to do what Yakuza 6 did in a week (and it got 100k units more)

Nah, Y7 is dead.

That's less than Y6 that sold 500K during its first month of release.
They shouldn't have tried to appeal to the JRPG faggots.
The next game is guaranteed to be back to the previous combat system.

P5 Royal did that in a month and that was just an enhanced rerelease.

that figure included physical and digital sales. the yakuza 7 figure only includes digital sales.

Sales are largely based on how previous game was received. Yakuza 7's poor sales are because of Yakuza 6's poor reception.

>shipments
Every time.

>shipments and digital sales

>only includes digital sales.
So are they talking about digital shipments when they say "shipments and digital sales"?

>Shipments.

You dumb retards are aware that's were the companies get the money from and that's what literally everyone reports, as it's impossible to track actual sales to customers outside of digital sales?

yeah,not because the gameplay changes

>Combined with the rest of Asia, the game shipped over 500,000 units by December 2016.
>As of June 2018, the game has sold nearly 1 million units worldwide, with overseas markets accounting for approximately half of the game's sales.
Which means that Yakuza 7 actually has legs, since it keeps reaching new milestones and Y6 sales in Asia didn't increase much more after opening month.

Shipments is just some vague bullshit, quarterly and yearly reports show the real deal.

>show the real deal
Yup, you're retarded.

This shit means nothing, the backlash was HUGE in japan. because a couple of outsiders bought the game thinking it was DQ doesnt mean SEGA wont back the fuck off on turning this franchise turn based, they already said 7 was a spinoff.

>SEGA wont back the fuck off on turning this franchise turn based, they already said 7 was a spinoff.
>Toshihiro Nagoshi: Personally speaking, I want to keep going through the same road, and see what we could improve. For example, making the battle system even more enjoyable, by adding new functionalities related to the terrain and the battles’ areas.
>the backlash was HUGE in japan.
Prior to release, now people are actually buying it.

>now

jesus this is barely better than Atelier Ryza and it is supposed to be japan's GTA

While I am personally a large fan of rpgs I don't think it's the best fit, but I'll still probably like it.
Just fix the fucking combat engine though, and you can go back to normal.
Everyone knows the combat is utter dogshit since dragon engine started, that's the whole reason they went with this massive change in the first place, as as bandaid for the abyssmal nature that the combat got into.

Ichiban is here to stay Kiryu's story is done

I actually haven't played ryza yet but I can't imagine it's any bad. This and ryza I'm gonna play in a little while.

I'm talking about sales. Ryza sold like 300k

Oh, sure.

it isnt supposed to be japans gta.

>They shouldn't have tried to appeal to the JRPG faggots.

I don't think that was really the problem as much as they simply changed what Yakuza WAS. They obviously wanted that Dragon Quest money.

It's our turn now, Ichibros

coomers should be killed

>no opening credits when you have this banger to use
why was this allowed?

is this the one with Kitano?

No game in Japan sells 5mil in that short time. 200-300k is norm for big titles in first few weeks or so

That was 6 user...
The fuck are those 2016 and 2018 dates, I really hope youre not referincing 7 with those
