If any of you faggot zoomers haven't played shadow of the colossus yet, it's free on ps plus right now. Do yourself a favor and play it.

What is it about?
I've already played it on PS2 and PS3. Is there any reason to play on PS4 over those?
hunting The Most Dangerous Game
better grafix and 60fps
>better grafix and 60fps
Meh. I'm not a graphics whole like most of Yea Forums
You climb monsters, it's a good game.
The remaster doesn't really have better graphics. Modern graphics, but not better. Worse animations, atmosphere, lighting, and effects like fog/dust. It's a cheap remake.
Man loves girl, girl dies, man goes to forbidden land to get the help of a dark god to revive her. Dark god agrees, but wants you to kill 16 towering half-bio/half-golem monsters scattered throughout the land. While youre doing this, the rest of your tribe are coming to stop you, since making deals with dark gods never goes well.
Fairly short game, no mini enemies, just you, your horse, 16 collossi, and a massive, abandoned land. I'd give it a strong 8/10. Controls can be a little clumsy and it has little to no replay value, but the bosses themselves are all very fun and interesting, the story is different and good, and theres something haunting about how empty everything is. Would definitely recommend
>and it has little to no replay value
time attack mode has rewards mate
different =/= worse
stick with the ps3 port, kid.
The ps3 port isn't any good either. Emulate or play on PS2. And yes it is worse. It's not merely different.
yeah but once you kill the collossi once, even using the new gear doesnt make it that interesting. Also time attack is annoying as fuck, since their shakes are completely randon, so you could do everything absolutely perfectly, and they could still fuck your time by shaking 6 times in a row
That's not the one
>Also time attack is annoying as fuck,
it's supposed to be challenging, casual
>The ps3 port isn't any good either
The fuck you talking about? It's better.
>Meh. I'm not a graphics whole like most of Yea Forums
>I'm not like all the other girls.gif
nah, bitch you're just as basic as everyone else. you're not special.
already played your shitty art game boomer. it's an overhyped pile of garbage.
I completed Hard Time Attack and still don't have the platinum, fuck grinding for HP/stam.
>nah, bitch you're just as basic as everyone else. you're not special.
Okay. Thank you for your feedback. It has been duly noted.
The ps3 port is also worse in dust/sand effects as well as in bloom and apparently there's a bug with your grip meter depleting too fast due to the 30fps lock.
boring fucking shit. dont bother
Theres a difference between annoying and challenging though. The challenge to a time trail is working out what will be the fastest way to the weak points. Whats annoying is knowing the fastest way, but halfway up, the thing decides to shake its left arm 15 times in a row, forcing you to drop off and start again
The hard time attack is the thing stopping me from the plat. Getting to the top of the shrine was exciting the first time i did it. I remember reading it in a ps2 magazine years ago that there was a path to the top
"annoying" is a subjective opinion based on the challenge. you're annoyed because you couldn't handle the challenge just like a casual
The hardest ones for sure are Gaius and Argus. I don't remember specifics cause I haven't done it since close to release, but I know you have to master the sword jump to even come close for Gaius, and Argus is just an overall pain in the ass if you don't do super hard speedrun tricks.
Im talking about the exactly what challenge means. Once you know the quickest way up, all thats left to do is keep doing that and hoping the monster doesnt shake too much. There's nothing you can do to control that, its completely random. The issue is that no matter how good you are, there will be times where you'll be forced to cling there until you run out of stamina and theres nothing that can be done. To be a legitimate challenge, you should be able to do all time trials in 1 shot if youre good enough, but thats not what happens. Youre at the mercy of the shake rng. Fortunately it only takes a minute to try again anyway, so its not really a problem, just ''annoying''
I'm sure I made it clear that your subjective opinion isn't reality, you're annoyed because you couldn't handle random factors in a video game. like a real casual.
Yeah Gaius is a bitch, ive been trying it for a while but every time i go for the jump, the fucking swings his head around. Probably just random chance and ill get him eventually. Weirdly i remember struggling with.... cant remember his name, the humanoid one with a beard that you fight underground. Got him eventually but took me a while
again, my point is that there is no way to 'handle it'. Some attempts will never work because the monster decides to shake. My complaint isnt even with the design of the shake, it was just to highlight that sometimes you'll fail the time trail due to no fault of your own
control your emotions, kid.
Lmao not playing that trash. Sonic is getting downloaded right now
You're supposed to break his wrist armor you dumb thots
>there are people on Yea Forums right now that haven't played sotc
get the fuck out
Baited
should be encouraging people to play the ps2 version
I have played every single other game ever made besides this boring piece of crap. You leave.
there are people on Yea Forums right now that weren't even born when sotc came out.
im on pc so no i wont play it
Lets settle it, lads
You can save more time by jumping straight to his upper body from his sword. The hard time trails are merciless, and every saved second helps
Its gonna be Phalanx, its always Phalanx
Who the fuck voted to Barba? I legit even forgot the guy existed
You absolutely do not have to do the jump strat in the time trial. You're thinking of the PS3 port.
Muh 79 Steps of Enlightenment
I emulated it on PS3 and regret it 'cause I got to the final boss and now the game randomly freezes in the fight.
should have emulated on PS2.
me here, no one would happen to have a save file for the final boss for PCSX2 would you? it's really annoying that I can get to the final boss on rpcs3 and climb all the way to his head and start stabbing only to have the game freeze on me before he dies, tried older versions of rpcs3 but I keep getting the same issue, I even tried playing it on a different computer.
either I'm super unlucky or the game isn't "playable" as the compatibility list suggests on the website.
did 4 colossi tonight, its cool and all but this would be my 4th time replaying and i just feel like its been there done that for me
great game
only gripe isn't even about the game but when you discuss it here everyone uses some faggot fanfiction name for the colossi
>number 4 was great
>yeah I liked deinonychus patraeus as well
It's boring as fuck, though.
phalanx is pleb shit
>rng is a challenge!
>just redo it until rng falls in your favor
/sleep
>Peesnoy4
>60fps
PFFFFT
>free on ps plus
millennials are retards
I remember playing it on PS2. Good times, great game. Also the last time I owned a console, and judging by PS3 and PS4 - I haven't missed much.
Is it emulatable
