Not to bring this up but people bring up how cool DMC is but I think ninja gaiden looks so much cooler since you have to constantly move around and react to enemies instead of a full minute juggling an enemy. NGs movement looks so much more satisfying

If there was actual gameplay or a reason to do those insane combos then maybe the game would be good but there isn't. It's just linking one-shot kill moves where you are invincible to another one-shot kill move where you are invincible, so on and so forth.

t. beat the game on Master Ninja mode numerous times. I've never seen a game have so much depth with its combat system that puts it to waste by making optimal play be just spamming an invincible move.

Actually the Xbox One X can already do those exact things right now, but you might as well wait a few more months for the SeX which is fully backwards compatible with every game that is compatible with the Xbox One (of which all the Ninja Gaiden games are)

Hell no. Ninja Gaiden went to shit after the NES. All you do is spam UT’s. Doesn’t matter when enemy you’re fighting or what weapon you’re using. The games aren’t designed well enough that you can play and learn enemy movesets (input reading enemies with command grabs is broken) as most of your combos don’t actually combo and are punishable on block. There’s no incentive to try. Do UTs. It kills bosses and enemies quick. The end. Play a better action game.

It's legitimately tough because the higher level your meter on the bottom left is the faster enemies will come out of guard if you don't attack them but the reward you get for breaking guard is huge since they're basically in a counterhit state during the guardbreak stun period which is super important at those higher levels because you can only launch enemies on counterhit or by fully charging a launcher
