The only Final Fantasy I've ever played has been 15, and I didn't like it. Ended up selling it after a certain point, and never beat it.

From what you’re describing, this game probably isn’t for you. FF7 had a decent story, but is undeniably still a JRPG and has some ridiculous anime moments. FF7R has more action gameplay elements to it, but I feel like FF15 was the closest we got to an actual ARPG in the FF series, so if you didn’t like that, then chances are you won’t like this one. well, if the old leaks are real (and they mostly seem to be real) the goal for the world is to do expanded XIV/XII Zones between continents, but for all the cities to be seamless.

First time playing while getting acclimated to controls is around 45 minutes. Gets way quicker when you know your buttons though, obviously.

There is a difference, but if you let that ruin your enjoyment of a game, then its a personal fault of your own. Now its understandable if for instance it was like Blighttown and dropped down to 12fps and such at times, then it becomes bad, but switching between 30/60 is not that big of a deal despite the differences.

You're not the only one struggling with that fight. The game wants you to have quite a good understanding of the combat mechanics for such an early boss fight, could just be the demo.

Running through the demo a few times makes it clear that you're not just suppose to play as Cloud and let the AI do whatever for Barret, you have to switch between the two to maintain, literal, pressure to fill the stagger gauge as fast as possible to do the big damage while also blocking and evading attacks. It's a really great combat system when you get more of a handle on it.

Why is Guard Scorpion so damn hard now? I never got a stagger, he'd just switch phases when I filled the bar. Felt like I was doing no damage.

Well you're supposed to use one as bait to fire at him.

So you can see what attack he's about to do and you use the defense option that's appropriate. Gatling guns? block. EM field? evade. Don't be concerned that you're chugging potions, they give 20+ of them for a reason.

It sounds like you're doing the offense right, exploit weakness, use the stagger boost move that Cloud has, use braver/overcharge/cross slash when it pops to do big damage when you stagger it.

KH3 is still complete fucking garbage, you retard.
