Really hope you have a bluetooth controller to play that and the on-screen buttons are just for show.

I have a Galaxy Tab A (2019) as my emulation machine with an Xbox One controller. Its the ultimate comfy. Add that with Steam Play and and you're set. I can't imagine playing on a phone.

I've made it work for this long, but I do have a BT controller. Never figured out how to get rid of the input lag though. Read tutorials etc. but they just dont work.

I mostly like to use it if I'm out and have some time to kill. I agree, that sounds super comfy though.

What kind of performance can you get out of that thing? I'd figure GC runs fine.

Its a great sleeper tablet for gaming. Its amazing. I can run pretty much any emulator on it. Animal Crossing and Pikmin work great. I haven't tried too many GC games besides those. I'm currently playing the real FF VII (psx) and Jean D' Arc on PPssPP.

Fucking awesome, I was planning to get some lower end pc for ps2 emulation. You think that could handle it? Or is ps2 just too resource intensive?

Whats a good phone emu? the ones I've tried from the emulation general all have this always online ad shit that wont let you save without wifi.

I'm sure ps2 is too intensive, but it also may depend on the game. I barely get 60fps in Zone of The Enders on my PC. Nintendo games emulate like butter though.

Just download the APK files from a Chinese spyware site and install. Or just buy them. All the emulators I have together cost less than a modern AAA game.

What were you looking to emulate? For pretty much anything that isnt GC or DS line, I'd probably go retroarch. It's worth learning the interface. Ds just (totally legally acquire) Drastic, GC Dolphin.

Dont mess around with any app store services, you'll get nothing but shit and 5 dollar emulators. Just download the apk's straight off of the internet, don't have to pay a dime.

That's what I figured, but I'd wager I could get something serviceable for around like $500 or less.

$500 should be more than enough to get a smooth PS2 experience on a PC. Infact, I used to have this set up:
ThinkCentre m92p (used)
Intel i7 (8core)(3.9Ghz)
Geforce GTX 1050 ti

That should cost you less than $300 and can play most modern games at 1080p and emulate anything up to a Wii U. I had some luck with PS3 Games with it too. I think MGS4 worked at 25 - 29fps with that rig.

I don't like Retroarch, so here's my personal list of standalone emus I use on my phone
>NES: just some really old emulator I found on FDroid but it's free and it works
>SNES: SNES9x EX+
>Genesis: MD.emu
>Master System/Game Gear: Master Emu
>GB/C: My OldBoy
>GBA: My Boy or John GBA
>N64: Mupen64 Plus FZ
>PS1: ePSXe
>Saturn: Yaba Sanshiro
>Dreamcast: redream
>Gamecube: Dolphin
>DS: Drastic
>PSP: PPSSPP
And of course as others said, don't pay for these. Just get the APKs online.

Not bad, I'll look into those then. Thanks for the tip. You're a good guy.

How the fuck are you gonna hold your phone and controller at the same time? You may as well just play on your pc at that point

Either one of these or a telescopic controller like the Flydigi Wee 2

That sounds comfy

It's great. On CRT they almost look like NES/SNES games.
