Beyond that check the game list on vitagen but be aware that everything else has been ported to PS4 or PC and those versions don't have performance problems at sub native resolution and sometimes include additional content.

Persona 4 Golden is a gold standard of what jRPGs should.
The Disgaea series is fantastic and 1-4 can be played on Vita
Half Minute Hero and the Patapon games are some of the best PSP games around
Odin Sphere is a suberb 2D beatemup with a gorgeous art style

That's just some stuff but the Vita is a lovely console, I have a hacked one and adore it

I'd honestly recommend any version but the Vita version, that game look and ran like shit on the vita. Which is strange because most vita ports are never this bad. It felt like Square went out of their way to make this game look bad on purpose on the vita.

Tron Bonny from PSN classic had freezing issues for me. I looked it up and read that this problem only happens on the Vita and nowhere else. Might be minor but there definitly are some games that run worse on the vita for some reason.

because the vita uses one specific POPSloader version in it's native PSP emulator (which it runs all ps1 games through). That's why legend of the dragoon isn't available for direct download. Crash too.

I used my vita as an emulation machine and used it to play all the PS1 and PSP games I missed as a Nintendo kid until PS2 era

and by direct download I mean through the official psn thing on vita, obviously you can get them through pkgj or just installing it yourself.

It's even got the other evo content translated too besides the dlc that changes stuff like the music styling from original to evo.

Haven't used POPSloader since the PSP days and forgot everything about it and how I did everything, is there a guide to convert PS1 iso's to eboots? There's a couple of games not on PSN that I want to convert. I also remember there being a pops version compatibility list somewhere.

did you install adrenaline? Mhp3rd is not a vita game, so you run it through adrenaline, the native-but-now-accessible psp emulator the vita has.

Yeah. I have two different MHP3rd ISOs -- one from /mhg/ with more translated text and another one I got from some rom site with less translation.
Adrenaline hangs on the game boot screen when I tried to run /mhg/ ISO even if it works fine if I play it through PPSSPP on my PC. The save file worked with the random site ISO as well.
