I prefer the tutorials to be in a less obtrusive way than Litteraly baked in the demo. If anything else, the boss was a little bit more than the original but I played the bombing mission with the unhelpful mistake saying to attack the scorpion tank when it's tail is in the air.

The Nioh 2 demo that just happened was a huge example with how people were bitching so hard about that when it really wasn't any big challenge at all. I don't know how I'm supposed to stay grounded and understanding when I'm being constantly assaulted by this kind of shit. It's actually worrying.

I kind of agree with that guy. The camera is shit, the boss stops the action way too much, it has way too much hp, and dodging/blocking does nothing and you get staggered a shitload by it. It's just not a fun fight.

Most of those types would not work for an IGN or Kotaku. They make their money on Youtube.

Wow did super mario bros actually send my interest plummeting. I have basically zero idea how to play that first level. A million interlocking systems all thrown at you at once.
Make sure to jump but also run but also break blocks but also you cant break blocks unless you have a mushroom but also you cant enter tight spaces if you have a mushroom but also jump on TOP of the goombas to kill them but if you walk into them from the SIDE it kills you or removes your mushroom but if you jump on a koopa from the top it makes a shell that can come back and hit you but also

Watched my gf play this game and would completely ignore what the tutorials would tell her because “it was too long to read” she struggled with the boss and didn’t know the weak point. Kept spamming the command menu not understanding you need AP to cast spells and use items.

It was a painful experience to watch. How are people so bad? The game pretty much holds your hand and have Cloud and even Barrett tell you what to do during combat.

It's literally the stagger mechanic from 13. Once the bar fills you do extra damage. Certain attacks/spells increase the gauge faster on different enemies

It plays a lot like FFXI or FFXIV 1.0 in that when you use an attack, you are locked into that attack until the animation finishes. I'd bet good money though that there will be future materia that can make dodge/block cancel.

Kinda makes me curious to see how Haste works in this system. It's entirely possible it'll just be a generic attack speed/ATB gain rate up spell, but it'd be kinda cool if it lets you do perfect dodges/blocks as well as some minor animation cancels while it's active.

There's a bit of depth in the combat with how you can instantly switch between characters but that boss fight is extremely forgiving even if you just button mash. I can't comprehend how these kind of people can even use let alone do it for a living.
