burn-ins are the brandings of fools who don't read their manuals
Burn-in will eventually happen regardless of how well you take care of your tv. The kicker? Not a single company that produces OLED tvs actually cover burn-in within the manufacturer's warranty.
I've had an OLED for 3 years now and theres no burn in at all
Its plasmas all over again
What was the point of getting rid of those anyways?
Energy inefficiency and damage to the environment caused by low level corrosive emissions.
>thinking any of the Burn in image prevention mechanisms actually work in the long term.
Hint: They don't
OLEDs are for movies and movie-like console games.
For real gaming? You are going to be getting these kind of notifications constantly.
You're probably a chad with a Sony OLED instead of those normie cucks with their LG OLEDs.
t. PS4 "gamer" (movie fan)
thinking of buying a 4ktv for next gen
what models have the least image retention problems?
do i buy a smart led or go full retard with the nanocell?
A nice LCD display is God tear. I had a NEC LCD monitor a while back and it was fucking fantastic. I would swear it even made lower resolution images look better.
>everything is LED now
Is the tech just easier and cheaper now to make? I miss LCD tech.
Samsung QLEDs are better for gaming, blacks are nowhere near as good as OLEDs but the pros are 0 burn-in, lower input lag, and cheaper.
>Leaving CNN on so long it burns into your screen
L M A O
lower input lag than OLEDs, really?
Don't listen to this retard I sell tvs for a living and Samsung QLEDs are garbage because the quantum dots oversaturate colors, which causes your brighter colors to get blown out and your blacks to become muddy. Get a nice Sony LED (X950H or X900H) and if you can't afford it then get the LG Nano Cell 95 or 85.
Yeah, while it is true that OLEDs have much better response times, in the real world traditional LED displays have much better input lag.
Currently there is only one OLED that can match a traditional LED display, I cant remember the exact model, but I think it's an LG.
You will know Him by the mark
That is true, but Sony is nowhere near as good in the input lag department as Samsung and LG.
You'd be thinking of the LG C9, and you're somewhat right about the input lag. It's a shame that LG's motion handling is trash, so enjoy those frame stutters and choppy animations.
STOP TAKING DOWN YOUR VITA 1000 LISTINGS WHEN THEY DON'T GET HIGH ENOUGH BIDS YOU FUCKING JAPS I HATE YOU
Correct, but the trade off is that Samsung and LG are nowhere near as good when it comes to color accuracy, motion handling and HDR detail.
>Yea Forums - Movies, Graphic Design & Photography
Being this butthurt because you're brainwashed into believing whatever PC World, TechCrunch and rtings.com tell you. I fully expect you to demonstrate your goldfish IQ by trying to convince me next that TCL makes good tvs.
Nope, I'm not going to do that, but input lag in most sony tv's is very noticeable and due to space constraints I cant have both a tv and a dedicated pc/gaming monitor, so I had to choose LG.
I'm sorry I like gaming more than watching movies mate.
i still see a lot of complaints about burn-in for the nanocell
do the 95/85 models prevent this?
any plasmachads in here? i can instantly nostalgiafag ever game i've ever played simply by looking at the corners of my screen.
Anyone have that picture of guy selling his TV because his roomie burnt-in gay porno on it?
But I need those crisp colors user. What do?
The LG Nano Cell tvs are LEDs, not OLEDs. It's impossible for them to get burn-in.
Not only is CNN bad for your brain, it's also bad for your TV.
