reminder from previous thread:

A small portal opens in shithole backwater, USA and the military cordons it off. A small monster comes through and they kill it after heavy casualties. An elite recon team are sent through to explore and get stranded in the monster hunter world because the portal is located high in the air. They came with parachutes prepared so none die.

They meet local hunters, led by mila, and with them learn to fight monsters with native weapons and armour taken from the game. It turns out the portal is growing over time and monsters are flocking to it in high numbers - which is a problem because more will get through, and it opened right beside where one of the few bastions of humanity is built in the monster world.

They return to earth to look for help for the natives by firing themselves out a makeshift trebuchet, fight some monsters that break through as the portal widens, find out the portal occurrs once every 1000 years and that the natives are descended from indians/viking settlers who went through the last time it opened, and Mila turns out to be some prophesised hero who finally returns her people to earth with the aid of the good army recon squad even when military command tries to just send a nuke through to wipe out the monsters gathering on the other side.

It ends with the recon squad and native hunters opening a new military branch dedicated to hunting down and exterminating all the monsters that got through during the crisis. Their squad is called the Monster Hunters.

Not quite a cape movie, but the Kingsman prequel is coming out a few weeks later, and the Bill and Ted sequel/reboot is coming out a few weeks earlier

I think they might take make this shitshow hurt a little
