I honestly think it's impossible.
There is so much dogshit that brings in the big money, that you can't remove it. To fix mobile gaming, you'd have to delete that shit, but since you'd be basically saying to stop earning money for "consumer enjoyment", it's not hard to imagine how many companies would follow that.
The one possible way is to slowly push back against these games, but since 90% of mobile gamers are smoothbrained, 50 IQ retards, who get addicted to basic psychology tricks, you're not going to get anywhere.
The whole thing is fucked, so just start reading Yea Forums and manga on it.

The only thing that would save mobile gaming in an artistic sense (for hobbyists I mean) is if Microtransaction-based games got regulated. Sadly, that's the level we're at, especially with AAA companies trying to sneak gambling mechanics in to their full priced games.

The problem is that all of our manufacturing is geared toward uniformity. While I'm sure you could set up some custom operation where you mix and match parts; most people just want a phone and don't care about the specifics. Or they are assigned a phone by their carrier and don't argue with them.

That's why apple and samsung dominate the market. They're what carriers give people.

Sadly, there isn't a market, and the solutions that do exist are expensive upfront. Pic related, the only reason I found out about it is that I use F-Droid a lot.
