What’s your favorite JRPG then?

Chrono Trigger is near-perfect. It just needs to be longer and a have a little more complexity in its combat.

TWEWY and DQV in my opinion.

It’s near perfect in its lack of immediate flaws, but it’s not particularly noteworthy or interesting in most aspects either.

Length is fine. Needs more complexity and definitely more customization. Way more. A class system, branching movesets, a sphere grid/upgrade path equivalent, fucking something. Some characters barely develop or simply go from having an active role in the story to simply existing and barely even talking. Encounters become forced upon you way to often by the time you get to Magus' Castle.
